Electric scooter sales in India recorded a month-on-month increase of 8.17% in October 2026. Total sales stood at 2,15,687 units, compared to 1,99,397 units in September, translating to an increase of 16,290 units. TVS iQube continued to lead the Indian EV market, while Bajaj Auto and Ather retained the second and third positions, respectively.
The top 10 brands largely maintained their rankings, with the only change coming at the bottom of the table, where E Sprinto Green moved overrtook Simple Energy, pushing it to the tenth position.
TVS iQube Maintains Lead Over Bajaj Auto
TVS iQube remained the best-selling electric scooter brand in October 2026, with 59,759 units. This is an 11.08% increase over the 53,797 units sold in September 2026. Bajaj Auto retained second place with 47,021 units, registering a marginal 0.22% growth over its previous month’s sales of 46,918 units. The gap between the two manufacturers also widened. TVS iQube outsold Bajaj Auto by 12,738 units in October, compared to a difference of 6,879 units in September.
Ather retained third position with 30,440 units, registering a 2.55% month-on-month increase. However, Hero Vida made a much stronger recovery, selling 29,276 units compared to 23,918 units in September. Its 22.4% growth narrowed the gap with Ather to just 1,164 units. So, it’s very likely that Vida will overtake Ather this month with the festive rush. Also, the launch of Konarc hasn’t made a big impact in Ather’s sales. But will it be accepted by the buyers gradually or not? It still remains a big question.
Hero Vida Records Highest Growth; River And Greaves Also Gain
Hero Vida recorded the highest month-on-month growth among the top 10 brands in October 2026. Its sales increased by 5,358 units, bringing it quite close to Ather in the rankings. River Mobility followed with a 19.55% increase, selling 6,605 units compared to 5,525 units in September.
Greaves Electric also recorded a strong growth this October, with an 16.02% increase in sales with 10,174 units. BGauss sold 4,975 units, registering an 11.23% increase over the previous month. These figures indicate that the growth was not limited to the leading manufacturers, with several brands across the top 10 recording month-on-month gains. All of this comes down to the targeted buyers; the major brands currently target the tier-1 audience while expanding their presence. But, the underdog brands have been catering to the tier-2 and tier-3 city audiences for a while now, and this is a validation for them when being chosen over the mainstream brands.
Ola Electric Is The Only Brand To Record A Sales Decline
Ola Electric was the only manufacturer among the top 10 to report a month-on-month decline in October. The company sold 11,927 units, down from 13,252 units in September, representing a decrease of approximately 10%. Despite the decline, Ola Electric retained fifth position in the rankings.
E-Sprinto Green Overtakes Simple Energy
At the bottom of the table, E Sprinto Green moved from tenth to ninth place with 2,124 units, up from 1,997 units in September. Simple Energy, meanwhile, dropped to tenth despite recording a 9.5% increase in sales to 1,359 units. The launch of Simple Wave doesn’t seem to be working in the brand’s favour, but we’ll have to see what will be the outcome of sales this festive season.

SearchEV Says
October 2026 was a good month for India’s EV scooter market, with overall sales increasing by 8.17% over September. TVS iQube continued to dominate, while Bajaj Auto maintained its second position despite relatively flat growth. However, Hero Vida’s strong performance was one of the biggest highlights, as it significantly reduced the gap with Ather.
The decline in Ola Electric’s sales stands out against the broader market growth, while River Mobility and Greaves Electric also recorded healthy gains. With most manufacturers reporting higher sales, October indicates improving momentum across several parts of the electric scooter market. The coming months will show whether Hero Vida can challenge Ather for third place and whether Ola Electric can recover its lost momentum.
