India’s electric bike segment had a stronger October, with the five brands tracked in our comparison recording a combined 3,518 registrations. This is a 16.5% increase over the 3,019 units registered in September. Oben Electric continued to lead the group, but Revolt came considerably closer, while Matter and Raptee also recorded an improvement.
The interesting part is that the gap between the top two brands has reduced quite sharply. Oben’s lead over Revolt stood at 369 units in September. In October, it came down to just 156 units. The mid-October sales had already shown the two brands fighting closely for the top spot, and the full-month figures make the contest even more interesting.

Oben Electric Remains Best-Seller, But Revolt Is Closing In
Oben Electric retained the top spot in October 2026 with 1,516 registrations, compared to 1,395 units in September. That’s an increase of 121 units, translating to good 8.67% MoM (month-on-month) growth.
It continues to benefit from the presence of the Oben Rorr Evo, which is quite a popular electric commuter. However, the more interesting story this month is the competition behind it.
Revolt Motors registered 1,360 units in October, up from 1,026 units in September. That’s an addition of 334 registrations and a healthy 32.55% month-on-month increase. It was the biggest absolute increase among the five brands.
Revolt has managed to reduce Oben’s lead from 369 units to 156 units in just a month. The brand’s lineup includes the Revolt RVX, alongside 5 other electric motorcycles. With both manufacturers operating at a considerably higher volume than the remaining three, the Oben-Revolt contest is currently the one to watch.
Ultraviolette Slips Slightly Despite Holding Third Place
Ultraviolette continued to occupy third place in the list, although its registrations dipped marginally in October. The Bengaluru-based manufacturer recorded 513 units, against 529 units in September 2026. This is a decline of 3.02% in its sales.
Unlike Oben and Revolt, Ultraviolette operates in the premium electric motorcycle segment. Its lineup includes the F77 Mach 2 and the recently introduced X-47 Venom, which might give a good boost to its sales in upcoming months.
Matter Records 32% Growth, But Volumes Remain Low
Matter Motor Works registered 91 units in October, compared to 69 units last month. This translates to a 31.88% month-on-month increase. The brand continues to stand out with the Matter Aera, which takes a different approach to electric motorcycles with its four-speed manual gearbox. However, its sales volumes remain significantly lower than those of Oben, Revolt and Ultraviolette.
Matter’s growth is worth noting, but the difference in absolute registrations tells a more complete story. Even after growing by nearly 32%, the brand finished October with fewer than 100 registrations.
Raptee Records Just 38 Registrations In October 2026
Raptee Energy sold 38 bikes in October. The Chennai-based manufacturer currently has only the Raptee T30, an electric motorcycle that takes a different approach to charging infrastructure with its CCS2-compatible charging system. The brand has also been gradually expanding its operations, having started customer deliveries in Chennai before planning its wider rollout. You can read more about its T30 delivery rollout here. Raptee’s October registrations are still modest, but the appearance of positive numbers is something to watch as its sales and service network develops.
SearchEV Says
October was a good month for the top five electric motorcycle brands, with their combined registrations increasing by 16.5%. But the bigger takeaway is the changing competition at the top.
Oben Electric remains the brand to beat, but Revolt is no longer as far behind as it was in September. Its 32.55% growth has brought the two manufacturers within 156 registrations of each other. In the upcoming month, we might get to see a fierce battle among them for the ‘Best Seller’ title. Ultraviolette continues to hold third place with consistent sales, while Matter and Raptee are still working with considerably smaller volumes.
The next few months should tell us whether Revolt can carry this momentum forward or whether Oben can extend its lead again. For now, Oben remains on top, but it has a much closer competitor than it did a month ago.
