Expert Verdict
At Rs 1.30 crore ex-showroom, Mercedes is betting that “electric flagship” and “still feels like a Mercedes” can occupy the same sentence, and for the most part, that bet lands. The luxury marquee’s firstborn EV, range anxiety simply isn’t a conversation with the EQS sedan. The cabin itself borders on science fiction, and the way it gathers speed is faintly rude for something this size. Where it asks for patience is the ordinary stuff: a nose that flinches at speed breakers, and a back-seat experience that still comes second to the vehicle that started it all: the S Class.
