Electric motorcycles often run into a fundamental physics problem: adding range usually means adding battery mass, which dulls handling and forces the motor to work harder. With the launch of the X-47 Venom, Ultraviolette introduces its new VX-100 platform to break that cycle. Operating on a high-voltage 100V electrical architecture, this modular foundation underpins the X-47 Venom first and will anchor upcoming motorcycles across the brand’s portfolio.
The engineering brief behind the VX-100 architecture centres on three targets: shedding structural and powertrain weight, improving thermal and electrical efficiency, and extracting stronger sustained performance. Let’s uncover all the features on the all-new Ultraviolette X-47 Venom.

The Largest Electric Two-Wheeler Battery In India

There are two batteries on offer. The X-47 and X-47+ use the SRB-7.5, a 7.5 kWh pack with a claimed IDC range of 227 km. The Recon and Recon+ get the SRB-11, an 11 kWh pack rated at 343 km. Ultraviolette describes the SRB-11 as the largest battery pack in India. Through internal cell packaging and structural revisions, the battery pack is 15% lighter and 25% more energy-dense.
Both packs run at 100V and sit inside an all-aluminium enclosure rated IP67 for dust and water. Ultraviolette quotes an energy density of 174 Wh/kg for the SRB-11 and a 5C discharge rating. A 5C rating means the pack can deliver up to five times its capacity in an hour, which works out to roughly 55 kW for the 11 kWh battery. The motor peaks at 30 kW. So even at full throttle, the pack is working well within its limits, and a battery that isn’t pushed to its edge generally runs cooler. Ultraviolette also says the SRB-11 has been designed with learnings from more than 40 million km of real-world testing.
| Ride mode | Claimed average consumption | X-47 and X-47+ (7.5 kWh) | Recon and Recon+ (11 kWh) |
| IDC test cycle | Not quoted | 227 km | 343 km |
| Glide | 40 Wh/km | 188 km | 275 km |

| Ballistic | 60 Wh/km | 131 km | 193 km |
155 Kmph Top Speed

Every variant uses the same drivetrain, so performance does not change with the price. Peak output is 30 kW, or 40 hp, and 90 Nm at the motor shaft, translating to 550 Nm of torque at the rear wheel.
Ultraviolette claims 0-60 km/h in 2.7 seconds, 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, and a top speed of 155 km/h. Thanks to the 100V system’s lower current draw and reduced heat buildup, the X-47 Venom can stay in its full-power Ballistic mode until the battery state of charge drops to 10%.
Many electric vehicles cap output well before that to protect their cells. Keeping full performance on the menu for almost the entire charge suggests the pack and drivetrain have headroom to spare.
UV Lightfury IPSM Motor and Sustained Ballistic Output
Regardless of battery size, every X-47 Venom variant runs the new UV Lightfury Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPSM) paired with a ride-by-wire throttle. Spinning at up to 9,000 rpm, the motor incorporates soft magnetic materials that cut rare-earth metal usage by 50% while reducing motor weight by 25% to 30%. The accompanying motor controller unit (MCU) is twice as compact and 40% lighter.
Supports 12 kW DC Fast Charging with an Axial Cooling System

The Venom can take energy four ways: a portable charger, an on-board charger, a 3 kW boost charger, and DC fast charging on Ultraviolette’s SuperNova network.
Heat management is handled by a new axial cooling setup that replaces the older radial airflow layout, doubling cooling performance across the powertrain. Better thermal headroom directly benefits charging speeds. Using an IEC 62196-6 charging port, the X-47 Venom supports DC fast charging at up to 12 kW alongside access to the UV Supernova and Supernova+ charging networks.
| Charging method | Rated power | 7.5 kWh pack, 20-80% | 11 kWh pack, 20-80% | Variants |

Multi-Layered Safety, Radar ADAS, and Camera Tech
Patented 6-Level Battery Safety with Pyro-Fuse Protection
Ultraviolette has expanded its Battery Management System (BMS) architecture to a patented six-tier safety protocol. The standout addition is the pyro-fuse. Borrowed from high-voltage electric cars, a pyro-fuse uses a tiny pyrotechnic charge triggered by the BMS to physically sever the high-voltage circuit within microseconds if a severe short circuit, thermal spike, or collision fault is detected. It works in tandem with individual cell-level fuses to isolate the battery pack instantly.
| Layer | Ultraviolette’s name | What it does |
| Thermal | The Regulator | Spreads and removes heat evenly so every cell stays inside its ideal temperature range |
| Electrical | The Isolator | Fuses at both the cell and pack level, so a fault in one cell or circuit is cut off before it spreads. |
| Mechanical | The Enclosure | A reinforced aluminium casing, sealed to IP67, that resists impact, vibration, dust, and water |
| Electronic | The Controller | Redundant electronic pathways, so one failed circuit does not take down battery control |
| Software | The Logic | The battery management system watches the pack continuously, with a quoted response time of 4 milliseconds. |
| Pyro-fuse | The Circuit Breaker | Physically disconnects the battery when a critical fault is detected |
Electronic Rider Aids
On the electronics side, rider aids scale across the lineup:
- Traction Control and Switchable ABS: Every variant gets Bosch dual-channel ABS, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and Hill-Hold. The base X-47 features a single-level (On/Off) traction control setup and fixed dual-channel ABS. Stepping up to the X-47+, Recon, or Recon+ unlocks 4-level traction control and switchable mono/dual-channel ABS, allowing riders to disable rear ABS on loose surfaces.
- UV Hypersense Radar Tech (Gen 6 77 GHz) Reserved strictly for the 11 kWh Recon and Recon+ variants, UV Hypersense uses a sixth-generation 77 GHz long-range rear radar sensor to monitor surrounding traffic across multiple lanes. Unlike ultrasonic sensors that only read close proximity, the millimetre-wave radar calculates relative speed and closing distance even when the motorcycle leans into corners. It powers four active rider alerts:
- Blindspot Detection: Illuminates warnings when vehicles linger in the rider’s rear three-quarter blind zones.
- Lane Change Assist: Alerts the rider if an adjacent lane is occupied by a fast-closing vehicle just as a lane change is initiated.
- Overtake Alert: Detects fast-approaching traffic from behind that is preparing to pass the motorcycle.
- Rear Collision Warning: Triggers urgent visual alerts and hazard flashes if a trailing vehicle approaches at a speed likely to cause a rear-end impact.
Integrated Dashcam and Camera-Assisted Parking
While all four variants include motorised Park Assist for low-speed forward and reverse manoeuvring, camera hardware is reserved for the 11 kWh models. The X-47 Recon comes with an integrated front dashcam to record road footage. The flagship X-47 Recon+ upgrades this to a dual-camera system with integrated front and rear dashcams and feeds a live rear-camera video stream directly to the dashboard whenever Park Assist is engaged.
Cockpit, Violette A.I., and Connected Suite

7-Inch Touchscreen Console and Connectivity
Replacing smaller non-touch displays, every X-47 Venom variant features a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm chipset running on Android OS, complete with the new Vector console interface theme. The base X-47 comes with standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Moving to the X-47+, Recon, or Recon+ unlocks Premium Connectivity (adding an onboard LTE cellular connection alongside Wi-Fi and Bluetooth), which enables turn-by-turn on-board navigation and the Find My X-47 vehicle locator.
Violette A.I. and Everyday Utility
Ultraviolette’s connected intelligence suite, Violette A.I., comes bundled as standard on the top-spec X-47 Recon+ and is offered as an optional upgrade on the X-47+ and X-47 Recon. It comprises five core security and telemetry functions:
- Delta Watch: Monitors the parked motorcycle and sends instant phone alerts if unauthorised movement or tampering is detected.
- Lockdown: Allows the owner to remotely immobilise the motorcycle’s drivetrain via the smartphone app in the event of theft.
- Anti-Collision Warning System: Coordinates with onboard sensors and lighting to warn surrounding traffic.
- Crash Alert: Detects a fall or impact and automatically dispatches emergency notifications with location coordinates.
- Daily Ride Analytics: Logs speed, energy consumption, regen efficiency, and riding style statistics.

What we think
The X-47 Venom is the first public look at VX-100, and judged on that basis, the platform makes a strong case for itself. Most of what Ultraviolette is claiming comes from parts you never see. A 100V system that pushes less current, a pack that sheds heat faster, and a motor that needs less of a scarce material. Changes like these make a bike quicker when it is new and keep it quick at the end of a long, hot ride. Whether the platform scales down as well will become clearer when the Shockwave and Tesseract arrive next year.
