If you are looking to buy an electric car in October 2026, you could secure significant savings, with dealerships across India offering discounts on select MG, Mahindra and Tata electric vehicles.
According to our dealer sources and price quotations accessed by SearchEV, the MG ZS EV currently attracts the largest quoted discount at Rs 2.30 lakh, followed by the Mahindra XEV 9e with benefits reaching Rs 1.96 lakh.
Here’s a quick look at the offers reported by our dealer sources:
| Electric Car | Maximum Reported Benefit | Eligibility |
| MG ZS EV | Rs 2.30 lakh | Select Exclusive Plus and Essence variants |
| Mahindra XEV 9e | Rs 1.96 lakh | Pack Two, 59 kWh; Bengaluru offer |
| MG Comet EV | Up to Rs 60,000 | Base and mid variants; includes insurance benefits. |
| MG Windsor EV | Up to Rs 50,000 | Select dealer offer |
| Tata Nexon EV | Rs 10,000 | Variants in the supplied dealer quotation |
Offers are dealership-reported and may depend on location, variant, stock, insurance and eligibility. They are not confirmed as uniform nationwide discounts.
MG ZS EV Gets Rs 2.30 Lakh Discount On Limited Stock
The MG ZS EV currently attracts one of the biggest dealer-quoted discounts. According to a SearchEV dealer source, an on-road discount of Rs 2.30 lakh is applicable to the Exclusive Plus and Essence variants.
| Variant | Discount |
| Exclusive Plus | Rs 2.30 lakh |
| Essence | Rs 2.30 lakh |
Interestingly, the dealer also claims that fresh ZS EV stock will not be supplied once the current inventory is exhausted. We recently reported on the possibility of the MG ZS EV being discontinued, although the manufacturer has not officially confirmed a nationwide discontinuation. The discount, therefore, appears to be closely linked to limited dealership stock.
Mahindra XEV 9e Gets Up To Rs 1.96 Lakh Discount
Mahindra is another manufacturer with good benefits in October. A Bengaluru dealership’s official October 2026 consumer-scheme document that we sourced confirms discounts reaching Rs 1.96 lakh on the Mahindra XEV 9e. Interestingly, the largest benefit is available on the Pack Two 59 kWh, rather than the range-topping Pack Three variant.
| XEV 9e Variant | M&M Scheme | Dealer Discount | Total Benefit |
| Pack One 59 kWh | Rs 1,55,000 | Rs 20,000 | Rs 1,75,000 |
| Pack Two 59 kWh | Rs 1,76,000 | Rs 20,000 | Rs 1,96,000 |
| Pack Three Select 59 kWh | Rs 70,000 | Rs 20,000 | Rs 90,000 |
| Pack Two 79 kWh | Rs 70,000 | Rs 20,000 | Rs 90,000 |
| Pack Three 79 kWh | Rs 80,000 | Rs 20,000 | Rs 1,00,000 |
The scheme includes a Rs 20,000 dealership contribution, meaning the entire discount isn’t being offered directly by the manufacturer. Dealer responses from other cities suggest that offers also vary regionally.
In Delhi, a dealer quoted Rs 90,000 in promotional benefits plus Rs 10,000 from the dealership but did not specify the eligible variant. The dealer indicated that the scheme was available for only a few days, with no separate Diwali offer planned at that outlet. A separate Mumbai dealer also quoted Rs 1 lakh off the XEV 9e, although the applicable variant was not specified, and we were advised to visit the dealership for a physical interaction.
MG Comet And Windsor EV Also Get Offers
The discounts aren’t restricted to expensive electric SUVs. MG dealers are also quoting offers on the more affordable MG Comet EV and the popular MG Windsor EV.
The Comet EV’s base and mid variants attract benefits of up to Rs 60,000, including insurance-related savings. Meanwhile, the Windsor EV is available with offers reaching Rs 50,000, according to the dealer communication.
However, the dealer hasn’t provided a variant-wise breakup for the Windsor or confirmed whether the offers extend to the recently launched Indulge Edition.
Tata Nexon EV Gets Rs 10,000 Discount
Tata dealerships have also shared updated quotations for the Nexon EV and Curvv EV. A handwritten quotation for the Nexon EV 45kWh variants shows a Rs 10,000 consumer discount across four configurations.
| Nexon EV Variant | Final Quoted On-Road Price |
| Creative 45 | Rs 15,78,630 |
| Fearless 45 | Rs 17,05,970 |
| Empowered 45 | Rs 18,18,970 |
| Empowered + A 45 | Rs 19,70,770 |
Prices are from one dealer quotation after the Rs 10,000 discount.
SearchEV Says
October’s dealer quotations suggest that electric car buyers have considerable room to negotiate, particularly on select MG ZS EV and Mahindra XEV 9e variants.
The XEV 9e Pack Two 59 kWh stands out with benefits reaching Rs 1.96 lakh, while the ZS EV’s Rs 2.30 lakh discount could appeal to buyers comfortable purchasing from the limited remaining stock. This is with the dealer and brand promising an after-sales support of approximately 10 years after the purchase.
However, the biggest advertised discount doesn’t necessarily translate into the best deal. Buyers should check the vehicle’s manufacturing month, registration charges, insurance premiums and whether different incentives can actually be combined.
