It gets the basics, like six airbags, automatic climate control, front power windows, a height-adjustable driver seat, a 10.16 cm (4-inch) instrument cluster and R15 steel wheels with hubcaps. It does not get a touchscreen, and it has two drive modes: City and Sport. It suits buyers who want the lowest price and drive mostly in the city.
Tata Punch EV Smart+
The Smart+ is the only variant with both battery options. It adds a 20.32 cm (8-inch) Harman touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, 65W USB-C fast charging ports, a remote key and paddle shifters for regen. The Smart+ 40 also gets Eco, City and Sport drive modes, EPB with auto hold, a reverse parking camera and R16 steel wheels.
Tata Punch EV Adventure
The Adventure comes only with the 40 kWh battery. Over the Smart+ 40, it adds push button start, cruise control, hill descent control and electrically adjustable ORVMs. It’s a good pick if you drive often on highways.
Tata Punch EV Empowered
The Empowered is a big step up. It adds a 26.03 cm (10.25-inch) Harman touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, a blind spot monitor, the Arcade.ev app suite and voice assistants. You also get R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, an air purifier, a cooled glove box, a dual-tone roof and connected tail lamps.
Tata Punch EV Empowered+ S
The Empowered+ S is the top variant. Over the Empowered, it adds a voice-assisted electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, leatherette seats, smart LED headlamps, LED fog lamps with cornering, a wireless phone charger, an auto-dimming IRVM, SOS calling, roof rails and a rear armrest.
Which Tata Punch EV Variant Should You Buy?
For most buyers, the Smart+ 40 is the best value. For just Rs 80,000 more than the Smart+ 30, you get the bigger 40 kWh battery, 468 km range, 127 bhp and a reverse camera. If you want wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a 360-degree camera, go for the Empowered. The Empowered+ S costs only Rs 30,000 more than the Empowered and adds a sunroof and ventilated seats, so it’s worth it if you want those.
