India’s electric scooter market ended 2025 on a strong note. There was a slight drop in December, so the month of November was better, but the country’s electric two-wheeler sales for the year exceeded 1.13 million, which is a clear indication of the increasing acceptance of EVs in India. This month also witnessed a big change in the ranking of the electric scooters, with TVS iQube taking the lead and becoming the most sold electric scooter in India.
TVS Leads Market
TVS iQube managed to climb into first place this month, recording 23,346 sales. This move pushed Bajaj Auto down to the second spot with 16,805 units. Ather stayed steady in third place, while Hero Vida and Ola Electric rounded out the top five for December.
Market Share Split
TVS iQube now commands the largest share of the market, holding 28.7 per cent of all electric scooter sales in India. Bajaj Auto follows behind with 20.7%, and Ather captures about 18.8% of the total battery-operated sales. Together, these three brands are responsible for nearly 70% of the entire plug-in scooter market in India.
| Brand Name | Dec Sales | Nov Rank | MOM Growth |

| Bajaj Auto | 16,805 | 1 | -31.89% |
| Ather | 15,237 | 3 | -23.18% |

| Ola Electric | 7,543 | 5 | -7.73% |
Big Growth Spikes
Most brands saw their figures dip slightly as the year drew to a close, but E-Sprinto Green Energy bucked the trend with a massive 55.3% rise in sales. At the same time, Pure Energy had a tough month, and its zero-emission registrations fell by nearly half compared with November.
Year-End Wrap
When the whole year is considered, 2025 was a better year for electric scooters than 2024, with sales exceeding 2024 by more than 24,000 units. Companies such as Greaves Electric and River Mobility remain in the top ten; this shows that the market has not run out of different battery-powered options. As we head into 2026, the competition between the top three brands is expected to become even tighter.
