Since the eC3X costs under Rs 25 lakh, Bengaluru buyers pay no road tax. As a result, the on-road price is only about 6% above ex-showroom.
On-Road Price Across States
Most states now offer road tax relief on affordable EVs, so on-road prices stay close to ex-showroom. For example, the eC3X costs about Rs 12.72 lakh to Rs 14.06 lakh on-road in Mumbai, almost the same as in Bengaluru. However, rules differ by state, so always ask your Citroen dealer for an itemised quote.
How the Citroen eC3X BaaS Price Works
With Battery-as-a-Service, you buy the car without the battery and pay Rs 2.26 per km to rent it. This cuts the upfront price by Rs 4.96 lakh to Rs 5.26 lakh, depending on the trim. For example, on the Live, the Rs 5.10 lakh saving covers the rental for about 2.26 lakh km. Therefore, most owners who keep the car for five to seven years will pay less overall with BaaS. However, check the BaaS contract terms, such as minimum monthly distance and resale rules, before signing.
Introductory Offer
At launch, Citroen offered up to Rs 1.50 lakh off for buyers who pay the full price. This brought the Live down to Rs 10.49 lakh, the Live (O) to Rs 10.85 lakh and the Shine to Rs 12.25 lakh. Check with your dealer to see whether the offer is still running.
eC3X Running Cost and Warranty
If you own the battery, the eC3X costs roughly Rs 1.0 to Rs 1.3 per km to run with home charging. With BaaS, the battery rental adds Rs 2.26 per km. Meanwhile, Citroen covers the battery for 7 years or 1.4 lakh km, the motor for 5 years or 1 lakh km and the car for 3 years or 1.25 lakh km.

On full price, the Tata Punch EV offers more range for similar money. However, with BaaS, the eC3X becomes one of the cheapest EVs to buy upfront in this group.
Citroen eC3X Price History
Citroen first launched the eC3 in India in February 2023. Then on 17 June 2026, it relaunched the car as the eC3X with new features, 79 km more claimed range and the BaaS option. At the same time, the new Live (O) replaced the old Feel trim, costing about Rs 45,000 less.
