What the Live (O) Adds Over the Live
The Live (O) adds the tech that matters most in daily driving. A 10.25-inch touchscreen brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so navigation and music work without cables. Behind the wheel, a digital driver display replaces the basic dials. Moreover, a rear camera joins the rear parking sensors, which makes reversing in tight city spots much easier. It also keeps the Live’s manual AC, keyless entry and power windows.
What the eC3X Live (O) Misses
The Live (O) still skips some comfort and safety features. It doesn’t get a wireless phone charger, powered mirrors, an auto-dimming inside mirror or a rear wiper and defogger. In addition, the driver’s seat doesn’t adjust for height. Most importantly, it misses the six airbags found on the Shine, so safety-focused buyers should consider stepping up.
Citroen eC3X Live (O) Running Cost
If you own the battery, the Live (O) costs roughly Rs 1.0 to Rs 1.3 per km to run with home charging. With BaaS, you add Rs 2.26 per km for the battery, taking the total to around Rs 3.3 to Rs 3.6 per km. As a result, buying outright saves money for anyone driving more than about 1,000 km a month. However, BaaS keeps the upfront cost close to that of a petrol hatchback.
Live (O) or Shine: Which to Choose?
The eC3X Shine costs Rs 91,000 more and adds six airbags, LED projector headlamps, 15-inch diamond-cut alloys and powered mirrors. It also gets the camera-based Predictive Safety Suite. If safety is your top priority, the Shine is worth the extra money. Otherwise, the Live (O) covers everyday needs at a sharper price. For a simpler, cheaper option, see the eC3X Live.
