VinFast, a Vietnamese electric car manufacturer, has begun operations in India with the debut of two of its most anticipated models, the VF6 and VF7, five-seat SUVs. Following that, the brand recently filed a design patent in India for a new seven-seater electric SUV, named Limo Green. The filing indicates that the company is getting ready to expand its local product lineup beyond the models already confirmed.

India Manufacturing Plans
VinFast just opened its first production facility outside of Vietnam, in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The plant is expected to manufacture the VF 6, VF 7, and possibly the Limo Green for the domestic market. If introduced in India, the new seven-seater might compete with upcoming models such as the BYD eMAX 7 and the Mahindra XEV 7e. VinFast has yet to announce the price or launch dates.
