Vida has expanded its VX2 electric scooter range with a new Go variant equipped with a fixed 3.1kWh battery pack. Priced at Rs 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom), the new version is aimed at buyers who want the VX2’s practicality but do not necessarily need the convenience of removable batteries.
The new scooter is an important addition to the VX2 range because the model has so far been differentiated by its removable battery setup. The existing VX2 Go and Plus variants use removable battery packs, allowing owners to take the batteries indoors and charge them from a conventional socket.
The new fixed-battery version instead requires the scooter itself to be parked near a suitable charging point.
New 3.1 kWh Fixed Battery

The biggest change is, unsurprisingly, the battery. The new VX2 Go uses a 3.1 kWh fixed battery pack. This puts it between the existing VX2 battery configurations in terms of capacity. The VX2 range currently includes smaller and larger battery options, with the removable battery using a 2.2 kWh pack and a dual 3.4 kWh setup.

The fixed battery should make the scooter more straightforward for buyers who already have a convenient charging point at home or at work.
Same 6kW Motor
The new fixed-battery VX2 Go continues to use Vida’s 6kW electric motor. The existing VX2 Go 3.4 produces 26 Nm of torque and has a claimed top speed of 70 kmph, with Eco and Ride modes.
Vida’s fixed-battery version therefore appears to be more about changing the battery configuration and ownership experience rather than creating a fundamentally different performance-orientated VX2.
How Is The Fixed-Battery VX2 Different?
The biggest distinction is the way owners charge the scooter. The existing VX2 Go uses a removable battery, allowing the pack to be taken out and charged away from the scooter. This is particularly useful for people who live in apartments or don’t have a charging point near their parking space.
Vida says its removable batteries can be charged using a standard 5A socket. The new VX2 Go fixed-battery version removes that flexibility but could be more convenient for owners who have dedicated parking with access to a charging point.

Vida VX2 Price And Variant Lineup
The new fixed-battery version adds another option to an already fairly extensive VX2 range. The scooter is currently offered in multiple configurations, with differences in battery capacity, braking hardware, displays and riding modes.

The VX2 has also been available with Vida’s Battery-as-a-Service model, which lowers the initial purchase price by separating battery ownership from the scooter.
SearchEV’s Take
The new fixed-battery Vida VX2 Go 3.1kWh is an interesting addition because Vida is essentially giving buyers a choice between charging convenience and battery portability.
At Rs 1.13 lakh, it isn’t positioned as the cheapest VX2, but the fixed battery could appeal to buyers with dedicated parking and easy access to charging. For apartment dwellers without charging infrastructure, however, the removable-battery VX2 remains the more compelling proposition
