Price and Range
The TVS Orbiter is strategically placed as an entry-level EV scooter, being priced lower than the TVS iQube in the lineup. The scooter comes with an ex-showroom price tag of ₹99,900. It is driven by a 3.1 kWh IP67-certified battery pack that is said to offer an IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 158 km on a single charge. The perfect blend of competitive pricing and a good range makes it a promising choice for daily commuters.
Smart Scooter Features
The Orbiter is installed with the latest connected technology, mainly through the SmartXonnect app. A colored LCD, Bluetooth connectivity, and essential features like turn-by-turn navigation and distance-to-empty display are among the key aspects. The SmartXonnect app not only provides but also introduces advanced functionalities like geofencing, crash alerts, live location tracking, and even the ability to view incoming call notifications right on the screen.
Power and Charging
The EV is equipped with a 2.5 kW BLDC electric motor, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 6.8 seconds. It features several riding modes, including Eco, City, and Reverse mode, which assist with parking. TVS provides a 650W charger that takes approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes to charge the battery from 0% to 80%. The Orbiter is also produced at TVS’s factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, which is a local manufacturing facility.
The TVS Orbiter was officially made available for bookings on August 28, 2025, requiring a fully refundable token payment of ₹5,001. Once released nationwide, the TVS Orbiter will have to contend with the highly competitive electric scooter segment.
