On-Road Price Across States
On-road prices vary widely between states. For example, the Taycan 4S Black Edition costs about Rs 2.18 crore on-road in Mumbai and Delhi, compared with Rs 2.41 crore in Bengaluru. That’s a difference of over Rs 20 lakh. Since options also change the final price, always ask your Porsche Centre for an itemised quote.
What the Price Includes
Every Taycan includes adaptive air suspension with Smart Lift, Matrix LED headlights and a curved 16.8-inch digital cluster. The 4S Black Edition adds the bigger battery, HD-Matrix lights, Bose sound and a panoramic roof. Meanwhile, the Turbo brings 872 bhp, rear-axle steering and Torque Vectoring Plus. However, many comfort features, such as ventilated seats and adaptive cruise control, cost extra on most versions. Therefore, the final price often ends up higher than the base figure.
Taycan Running Cost and Warranty
With home charging, the Taycan costs roughly Rs 1.5 to Rs 2.4 per km to run, depending on the version and your driving style. That’s far cheaper than a petrol Porsche of similar performance. Furthermore, Porsche covers the battery for 8 years or 1.6 lakh km and the car for 2 years with unlimited kilometres.
Porsche Taycan Price vs Rivals
| Model | Ex-showroom price | Body type |
|---|---|---|
| Porsche Taycan | Rs 2.01 to 2.74 crore | Sports sedan |
| BMW i7 | Rs 1.95 to 2.65 crore | Luxury sedan |
| Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV | Rs 2.40 to 2.65 crore | Luxury SUV |
| Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 Sedan | Rs 1.30 to 1.48 crore | Luxury sedan |
| BMW i5 M60 xDrive | Rs 1.19 crore | Performance sedan |
The Taycan sits alongside the BMW i7 and Maybach EQS SUV on price, but focuses on driving thrills rather than rear-seat luxury. Meanwhile, the BMW i5 M60 offers similar 4S-level pace for far less money. However, none of these rivals match the Taycan’s handling or charging speed.
