The MG Windsor EV Inspire Limited Edition is the new addition for the festive period, with the Pro variant as the top-spec, coming with a few aesthetic improvements.
MG Motor India has teased the Windsor EV Inspire Limited Edition, a special festive edition of its popular electric SUV. Set to launch this October, the limited edition aims to refresh interest in the Windsor EV line-up by offering exclusive cosmetic upgrades inspired by a “Business Class” theme. The company shared a teaser showing the SUV’s silhouette against an aircraft hangar, hinting at the premium, aviation-inspired design touches inside and out.
New Special Edition
The upcoming Inspire Limited Edition is a cosmetic upgrade package over the existing model. The move is intended to attract customers who want an exclusive or all together a revised look for their electric vehicle, amidst the festive buying season. The edition will be limited in number, which will, in effect, highlight its collector-style appeal.
Cosmetic Updates Planned
The Inspire edition is all about visual improvements. The new look of the car may include a new front end, new gloss black alloy wheels, and a revamped rear bumper. In the cabin, the theme of luxury that the EV carries will be reinforced through the use of new fabric, modified stitching, and possibly gold accents on the dashboard or doors. The car will also have unique “Inspire” badging for identification.
Top Variant Basis
The Limited Edition is anticipated to be built on the Windsor EV Essence Pro variant, which is the highest trim level. The Inspire edition will thus take over all advanced features that are already available in the Pro version, such as Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability, and a high-end infotainment system.
Power Specs Unchanged
Customers should be aware of the fact that the limited edition is all about the look, and there are no mechanical or hardware changes whatsoever. The powertrain will be taken from the Pro variant, with the bigger battery pack being used.
| Powertrain Specification | Detail |
| Battery Pack | 52.9 kWh Prismatic LFP |
| Claimed Range (ARAI) | 449 km |
| Power Output | 134 bhp |
| Torque Output | 200 Nm |
Added Price Premium
With all the exclusive cosmetic enhancements, unique badging, and limited availability, the MG Windsor EV Inspire Limited Edition is expected to be priced higher than the standard Essence Pro trim. Pricing information and the exact number of units to be released will be disclosed closer to the official launch date.
Festive Season Debut
The limited edition model’s official reveal and launch are expected to take place later this month, perfectly coinciding with the peak of the Indian festive season. This strategy aims to capitalise on the higher consumer spending and demand that are usually present during this time.
