On-road prices vary widely across India. In states that fully waive road tax on EVs, the EQS SUV costs only a few lakh rupees over its ex-showroom price. In contrast, Bengaluru buyers pay much more. What the Price Includes
Both versions come with the MBUX Hyperscreen, a Burmester 3D sound system, a panoramic sliding sunroof and rear seat entertainment. They also get AIRMATIC air suspension, rear-axle steering and a 360-degree camera. For Rs 14 lakh more, the EQS SUV 580 adds a third row, 181 bhp of extra power and AMG Line styling. Local assembly at Chakan also helps keep prices below imported rivals.
EQS SUV Running Cost and Warranty
With home charging, the EQS SUV costs roughly Rs 1.3 to Rs 1.8 per km to run, depending on the version and your tariff. That’s far cheaper than a petrol luxury SUV of similar size. Furthermore, Mercedes covers the battery for 8 years or 1.6 lakh km.

Mercedes launched the seven-seat EQS SUV 580 in India in September 2024 at an introductory price of Rs 1.41 crore. Then, on 9 January 2025, it added the five-seat EQS SUV 450 at Rs 1.28 crore. In January 2026, Mercedes updated the line-up as the Celebration Edition, priced at Rs 1.34 crore and Rs 1.48 crore.
