Exterior
The Kia EV6 looks like it was driven straight off a movie set from the year 2050. Its “Opposites United” design philosophy combines sharp lines with smooth, muscular surfaces. At the front, the “Digital Tiger Face” replaces the traditional grille with a sleek, minimalist look. The side profile is where it shines, featuring a sloping coupe-like roofline and flush door handles that pop out only when you need them. The rear is the showstopper: a curved LED light bar stretches across the tailgate, acting as both a taillight and a functional spoiler to help with aerodynamics.
Interior
Inside, the cabin feels incredibly open and high-tech. The “floating” center console is a design triumph, creating a massive storage area underneath for bags or laptops. You are faced with two beautiful 12.3-inch curved screens, one for your gauges and one for your entertainment. Kia has used sustainable materials throughout, such as fabrics made from recycled plastics and vegan leather, but it still feels very premium. The 64-colour ambient lighting allows you to set the mood, and the sunroof adds to the airy feeling.
Build Quality
Because the EV6 is imported into India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), it maintains world-class manufacturing standards. The fit and finish are exceptional. Every panel gap is tight, and the buttons have a solid, tactile click. There are no “cheap” plastics in high-touch areas. The car feels solid and well-damped, which is essential for a vehicle that carries the heavy weight of a large battery pack.
The EV6 is a design triumph that manages to look like a concept car while maintaining the structural integrity of a world-class luxury vehicle. Its mix of sustainable materials and tight tolerances proves that Kia has successfully moved into the premium segment.
