Why the HTX ER Is the Sweet Spot
The HTX ER combines the features most families actually need. First, the 51.4 kWh battery delivers about 383 km in real-world driving, enough for most weekend trips. Second, Level 2 ADAS adds safety on highways. In addition, a battery heater helps maintain charging speed in cooler weather. Meanwhile, it avoids the extra cost of premium features like Bose audio and ventilated seats.
Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX ER Features
The HTX ER gets Level 2 ADAS with 20 features, including smart cruise control with stop and go and blind-spot collision-avoidance assist. It also gets a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting and a Smart Pure air purifier. Moreover, a digital key, dual 12.25-inch screens and 17-inch crystal-cut alloys add convenience and style. For families, it keeps the one-touch electric tumble second row and roof-mounted rear AC vents.
What It Misses
The HTX ER skips a few premium extras. It doesn’t get ventilated front seats, a 4-way powered driver seat or Bose audio. It also misses V2L, rain-sensing wipers and Kia logo puddle lamps. These come on the HTX Plus ER.

The HTX ER costs Rs 2 lakh more than the 42 kWh HTX, adding 86 km of range, more power and a digital key. Meanwhile, the HTX Plus ER adds ventilated seats, Bose audio and V2L for Rs 2 lakh more. Interestingly, the HTX ER uses the same battery as the Creta Electric Excellence LR, yet costs about Rs 1.1 lakh less and adds a third row.

What's good
-
Huge Space: It is one of the few electric cars where the third row is actually comfortable for adults.
-
Safety Features: Having Level 2 ADAS and 6 airbags makes it a great choice for families.
Cool Tech: Features like ventilated seats and the Bose sound system make it feel like a luxury car.
What's not so good
-
Large Size: It is a long car, so it can be a bit hard to find parking in crowded city areas.
-
Low Ground Clearance: When the car is full of people, it sits a bit low, so you have to be careful over very large speed breakers.
-
No Spare Tire: It comes with a puncture kit instead of a full spare tyre, which can be scary on long trips.
