Citroen eC3X Variants Explained
Citroen launched the eC3X on 17 June 2026 as an updated, renamed version of the eC3. All three trims share the same 29.2 kWh battery, 56 bhp motor and 325 km claimed range, which is 79 km more than the old eC3. The new Live (O) trim replaced the old Feel as the mid-level option. Meanwhile, the Shine sits at the top with the most features and safety kit.
eC3X Live: The Base Trim
The Live keeps things simple. It gets manual AC, keyless entry, power windows, rear parking sensors and Bluetooth audio with four speakers. However, it misses a touchscreen, rear camera, wireless charger and six airbags. As a result, it suits buyers on a tight budget who mainly want a basic city EV.
eC3X Live (O): The Value Pick
The Live (O) adds the features most buyers want for just Rs 36,000 more. It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital driver display and a rear camera. However, it still misses wireless charging, powered mirrors, a rear wiper and six airbags. For most city buyers, this trim offers the best balance of price and features.
eC3X Shine: The Top Trim
The Shine is the most complete eC3X. It adds six airbags, LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs and fog lamps, and 15-inch diamond-cut alloys. Moreover, it gets a 7-inch colour driver display, powered auto-folding mirrors and the Predictive Safety Suite. For buyers who value safety, the Shine is worth the extra Rs 91,000 over the Live (O).
How Battery-as-a-Service Works
With BaaS, you buy the car without the battery and pay a rental of Rs 2.26 per km for it. This cuts the upfront price by up to Rs 5.26 lakh. However, if you drive about 1,000 km a month, the rental adds roughly Rs 2,260 on top of your charging cost. Therefore, BaaS suits low-mileage city users best, while high-mileage drivers may save more by buying the battery outright.
