The startup Raptee.HV, which is based in Chennai, is about to present a brand new product, the first high-voltage electric motorcycle in India. Mass customer deliveries are anticipated to start in the coming month (November 2025). This announcement is a huge step for India in the electric vehicle market, especially in the two-wheeler category. It is expected that the launch will appeal to those riders who require performance with long-range and easy access to the charging stations because of the growing public charging network in the country.
High Voltage Drivetrain
This top-notch edition includes a 240-volt driver system, an amount of voltage that is more than the 48-volt to 72-volt driver systems that are proven to be a standard and mostly used in electric scooters at present. The high-voltage architecture, on the other hand, is meant to enable the instant performance of the motorcycle without problems like the device being too hot, even when it passes through rough and difficult routes or hilly areas.
Fast Charging Solution
Unlike any other electric two-wheeler in its class, the Raptee motorcycle comes with an automatic CCS2 switch-over as one major factor that sets it apart from others. This feature connects the motorcycle to over 35,000 public car doors across the country, which caters to the CCS2 standard. Riders who are looking to cover more miles on their electric two-wheelers suddenly get a helping hand from this broad compatibility.
Quick Charging Times
Also, the voltage system contributes to higher charging speeds. The home charger of this motorcycle can provide a full charge in about one hour. The charging at a public station will be done in just 36 minutes, which is stated to be much quicker than the current industry average for similar vehicles. Raptee has patented more than 70 applications related to its technology.
Deliveries Begin Soon
With the T-30 model, the motorcycle is priced in a way that competes with 250-300 cc internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycles. The manufacturer has already got 8000 bookings in total across India. The first deliveries will be gradual and will include major cities like Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Pune, and the firm will then go for slow and steady expansion, which will be based on establishing a strong service infrastructure.
