The VF6 sits in the compact SUV class, similar in size to the Hyundai Creta Electric. However, its 2,730 mm wheelbase is among the longest in the segment, which helps rear legroom. Moreover, its 423-litre boot easily beats many rivals. With 190 mm of ground clearance, it also handles Indian speed breakers and rough patches comfortably.
Battery and Range
Every VF6 uses the same 59.6 kWh battery. In the Earth, it offers 468 km of claimed range, while the more powerful Wind trims return 463 km. In real-world driving, expect roughly 350 to 380 km, depending on speed and AC use. That’s enough for about a week of city driving, or a comfortable intercity trip with one charging stop.
Motor and Performance
The VF6 uses a single front-mounted motor in two states of tune. First, the Earth produces 174 bhp and 250 Nm, which feels smooth and easy in city traffic. Next, the Wind and Wind Infinity jump to 201 bhp and 310 Nm, cutting the 0 to 100 km/h time to 8.9 seconds. In addition, drivers can choose from Eco, Normal and Sport modes, along with four levels of regenerative braking. As a result, the Wind trims feel genuinely quick on the highway.
Charging Times
On a DC fast charger, the VF6 goes from 10 to 70% in about 25 minutes, which is quick for its class. At home, a 7.2 kW wall box fully charges it in roughly 8 to 10 hours. So, overnight charging easily covers daily use. On highway trips, a short coffee break at a fast charger adds plenty of range.
Suspension, Brakes and Safety
Up front, the VF6 uses MacPherson strut suspension, and it gets disc brakes on all four wheels. The Earth rides on 17-inch wheels, while the Wind trims use 18-inch alloys. For safety, every VF6 gets 7 airbags, ESP and a 360-degree camera. Moreover, it has earned a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.
