The Sierra EV comes in five feature levels: Pure, Pure S, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered A. In addition, the Empowered A offers an AWD version with extra off-road tech. Every level shares a strong safety base, cruise control, push-button start and automatic climate control. However, each step up adds more comfort, tech and safety. Tata Sierra EV Exterior Features
On the outside, every Sierra EV gets auto headlamps. Then, the Pure S adds LED fog lamps with cornering, roof rails and electrically folding ORVMs. Meanwhile, the Adventure steps up to 18-inch alloy wheels and a rear defogger. At the top, the Empowered A gets 19-inch dual-tone alloys and cameras built into the ORVMs. Also, it offers an exclusive Nainital Nocturne colour. Finally, the AWD version wears a QWD badge on the rear pillar.
Tata Sierra EV Interior and Comfort Features
Inside, the base Pure uses fabric seats with a black and grey theme. Next, the Pure S adds a front sliding armrest and rear window sunshades. The Adventure then brings a leather-wrapped steering wheel, mood lighting and Boss Mode, which lets a rear passenger move the front seat for more legroom. On top of that, the Empowered A adds leatherette seats and a powered front passenger seat. Also, every Sierra EV from the Pure S up gets a handy frunk under the bonnet.
Tata Sierra EV Infotainment and Tech Features
Every Sierra EV gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital cluster. Then, from the Pure S, you also get wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and connected car tech. Moving up, the Adventure brings a 12-speaker JBL system with a soundbar and Dolby Atmos, plus the Arcade app suite. After that, the Empowered trims add a third 12.3-inch screen for the front passenger. Finally, the Empowered A gets a heads-up display. Besides that, Amazon Alexa works across all variants.
Tata Sierra EV Performance Features
All variants get Eco, City and Sport drive modes. In addition, paddle shifters let you pick from four levels of regenerative braking. From the Adventure onwards, you also get four terrain modes. Meanwhile, the Empowered A AWD goes further, with six terrain modes and off-road assist. Plus, from the Pure S, V2L lets you power appliances, and V2V lets you charge another EV.
Tata Sierra EV Safety Features
Safety is strong across the range. To start with, every Sierra EV gets six airbags, ABS with EBD and disc brakes on all four wheels. In addition, you get hill hold, hill descent control, TPMS and an electronic parking brake with auto hold. Then, the Pure S adds front parking sensors and SOS calling. At the top, the Empowered A gets Level 2+ ADAS, including adaptive cruise control, lane change assist and rear cross traffic warning. It also adds a 540-degree camera and auto park assist.
Before You Buy
First, the Pure misses the sunroof, wireless phone connection and V2L. For this reason, the Pure S is the better starting point for most buyers. Next, the Adventure makes sense if you love music, since it adds the JBL system with Dolby Atmos. However, if you want ADAS or the heads-up display, you’ll need the Empowered A. Finally, pick the AWD only if you plan real off-road or hill drives.
