VinFast has updated the exterior colour palettes for both the VinFast VF 6 and the VinFast VF 7. These changes arrive without any accompanying price hikes or mechanical alterations. The brand aims to give local buyers a more contemporary set of choices as the festive season draws near. For those unfamiliar with the Vietnamese manufacturer, they recently also set up a massive local assembly plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, helping them sustain aggressive pricing against established giants like Tata and Mahindra.
VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 New Colour Palette
VinFast decided to retire two of its older, brighter colours to make way for darker and more mature hues. The outgoing Crimson Red and Urban Mint options are no longer available for order. In their place, the company introduced Solar Red and Ivy Green. These new shades offer a deeper metallic finish that highlights the sharp body lines of both SUVs. Additionally, a brand-new colour called Moonlight Ocean joins the lineup. This specific addition brings the total number of available paint choices to seven for both the VF 6 and the VF 7.
VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 Powertrains and Tech
While the exterior gets a fresh coat of paint, the core engineering remains untouched. The compact VF 6 continues to draw power from a 59.6 kWh battery pack. Buyers can pick between two different power outputs. The base Earth trim produces 174 horsepower, while the higher Wind variants push out 201 horsepower. This setup delivers a maximum driving range of 468 km on a full charge. It competes directly with cars like the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara and the Hyundai Creta EV.
The larger VF 7 offers a bit more flexibility. The base version shares the same 59.6 kWh battery as its smaller sibling. However, higher trims upgrade to a much larger 70.8 kWh battery pack. If you opt for the top-tier Sky variant, you get a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. This powerful configuration generates a massive 348 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The larger battery also helps the VF 7 achieve an impressive range of up to 532 km.
Both vehicles share a very similar design philosophy inside the cabin, using a large central touchscreen and a heads-up display to relay all driving information. The brand also equips both SUVs with Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems.
