Denza has released a teaser for its flagship high-performance electric car – the Denza Z9 GT for India. It is confirmed for India launch, alongside the BYD Denza D9 MPV. Blending sports car agility, luxury design architecture, and hypercar-like performance, the Denza Z9 GT will be engineered to contend with European performance vehicles like the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT. With these attributes, it is expected to be priced from Rs 1.20 crore and can range up to Rs 1.50 crore in India.
Industry insights suggest that the Denza Z9 GT for India will come with the same features as the China-specific model; it is expected to feature 5-digital display systems (two of the units on doors will show feed from the outside rear-view cameras), ventilated seats with heating, cooling, and massage functions, level-2 ADAS with adaptive systems, and a rear-wheel steering system.

Denza Z9 GT Design Previewed
The Fascia: The BYD Denza Z9 GT teaser highlights several design attributes that make it represent the unique aerodynamic silhouette necessary to ensure fluidic performance characteristics. The headlights also resonate well with this silhouette, featuring seamless LED lighting with horizontal elements. Well-contoured bonnet lines with forward-sloping bonnet construction also make it flush for seamless aerodynamic advantages, assisting it in maximising efficiency and performance.
The Side Section: The Z9 GT from Denza will feature a continuum of aero elements to ensure vehicle stability for high-speed performance supported by downforce packages. It is also expected to enhance the luxury appeal, with flush door handles, sleeker camera-equipped ORVMs that, instead of mirrors, offer a feed from the camera units, and an angular or backward-sloping roofline. The section will also boast large alloy-wheel construction with floating central wheel caps, as shown in the latest teaser video.
The Rear Portion: The rear section of the Z9 GT from Denza will feature a distinctive shooting brake silhouette that merges sports car-like architecture with touring-specific practicality. The boot area is also expected to feature connecting tail lighting elements with unique dual horizontal-lined lighting architecture integrated within the taillights. The new Denza Z9 GT for India will feature a new dashboard architecture featuring multiple digital screens with dedicated functions like camera feed, infotainment controls, climate control adjustments, and an independent passenger-side entertainment unit. It will also come with luxury upholstery and ergonomic switchgear positioning for a truly effective user experience.
