Level 2 ADAS Explained
The Essence Pro’s biggest advantage is its Level 2 ADAS suite. On highways, adaptive cruise control keeps a safe gap from the car ahead, while lane keep assist gently steers you back into your lane. In heavy traffic, traffic jam assist handles stop-and-go driving, which reduces fatigue on long commutes. For safety, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking can brake for vehicles and pedestrians. In addition, intelligent headlamp control switches between high and low beam on its own at night.
V2L and V2V Power Sharing
The Essence Pro can also share its battery power. With Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), you can run appliances like a laptop, kettle or camping lights straight from the car. Similarly, Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) lets it give a small charge to another EV in an emergency. As a result, it doubles as a power backup during picnics, road trips or power cuts.
Range for Highway Trips
With 449 km of claimed range, the Essence Pro covers about 117 km more than the 38 kWh versions. In real-world use, expect roughly 340 to 360 km, which is enough for routes like Bengaluru to Mysuru and back. Moreover, it supports faster 60 kW DC charging, so highway stops stay short. However, the bigger battery trims boot space slightly, from 604 to 579 litres.
Comfort and Tech Features
Beyond ADAS, the Essence Pro gets every comfort feature in the Windsor range. For instance, the Infinity View glass roof, ventilated front seats and 9-speaker Infinity audio all come included. It also offers the 15.6-inch GrandView touchscreen, a 360-degree camera and 256-colour ambient lighting. Of course, the reclining Aero-Lounge rear seats remain the star of the cabin.
