Karnataka waives road tax only on EVs under Rs 25 lakh. As a result, Maybach EQS buyers in Bengaluru pay Rs 24 lakh to Rs 26.5 lakh in registration alone.
On-Road Price Across States
On-road prices vary a lot between states. For example, in Mumbai, the Maybach EQS costs about Rs 2.50 crore to Rs 2.79 crore on-road, well below Bengaluru. Even so, insurance alone adds over Rs 10 lakh in most cities. Always ask your Mercedes-Maybach dealer for an itemised quote before booking.
What the Price Includes
Both versions include executive rear seats with leg rests and massage, two rear screens, a 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen and a 15-speaker Burmester 4D system. They also get automatic comfort doors, AIRMATIC air suspension and rear-axle steering. The extra Rs 25 lakh for the Night Series mainly buys dark chrome styling, exclusive wheels and a black Nappa interior. However, popular extras like the rear refrigerator and champagne flutes cost extra. As a fully imported model, the Maybach EQS also carries higher duties than the locally assembled EQS SUV.
Maybach EQS Running Cost and Warranty
With home charging, the Maybach EQS costs roughly Rs 1.8 to Rs 2.4 per km to run. That’s still cheaper than a petrol luxury SUV of similar size. Furthermore, Mercedes covers the battery for 10 years or 2.5 lakh km and the vehicle for 3 years with unlimited kilometres.
