- Battery rental fee stands at Rs 3.9 per kilometre
- Also gets an integrated side footstep for easier cabin access alongside a new 7.4 kW home wallbox charger
Hyundai has announced a BaaS programme for the Creta Electric. The schemes lower the purchase cost of the base 42 kWh Executive by Rs 7.04 lakh. The battery subscription charge is priced at Rs 3.9 per kilometre, and the financing is available for loan tenures of up to 96 months.
Rather than buying the complete vehicle upfront (which includes the chassis and battery pack), buyers have the option of paying for the battery in terms of a subscription. This makes the upfront cost of the purchase significantly lower and makes the car more accessible to even budget-conscious buyers.

BaaS Competitor Comparison: Creta Electric vs Maruti e Vitara
The introduction of the BaaS model is a direct strategic response to the newly launched Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, which also heavily relies on battery subscription to lower its entry price.
| Model | Starting Price (With BaaS) | Battery Rental Cost | Starting Price (Without BaaS) |
| Hyundai Creta Electric | Rs 10.99 Lakh | Rs 3.90 per km | Rs 18.03 Lakh |
| Maruti Suzuki e Vitara | Rs 10.99 Lakh | Rs 3.99 | Rs 15.99 Lakh |
While both vehicles sit at the exact same BaaS starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh, the Creta Electric offers a slightly cheaper per-kilometre running cost. However, the e Vitara has a lower outright purchase price for buyers who prefer to own the battery from day one.
