Fixed Battery vs Removable Battery
Every other VX2 uses removable batteries, but the Go 3.1 kWh keeps its battery fixed inside the scooter. As a result, you plug the scooter itself into a socket, just like charging a phone. This suits riders with a socket near their parking spot, since there’s no heavy battery to carry. On the other hand, apartment dwellers without parking charging may prefer the removable-battery Hero Vida VX2 Go 3.4 kWh.
Range and Charging
With 128 km of claimed range, the Go 3.1 kWh sits neatly between the 2.2 kWh and 3.4 kWh versions. In real-world riding, expect roughly 90 to 100 km, depending on ride mode and load. As a result, a rider covering about 30 km a day can go three days between charges. Moreover, Vida’s network of nearly 6,000 fast chargers adds 80% charge in about an hour.
Hero Vida VX2 Go 3.1 kWh Features
The Go 3.1 kWh shares the Go range’s feature list. A 4.3-inch colour LCD offers Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts. Moreover, a two-way throttle engages reverse when parked and adds regenerative braking while riding. The Vida app brings geofencing, remote immobilisation and OTA updates. On the safety side, crash and fall alerts and a side-stand motor cut-off come standard.
How It Compares
The Hero Vida VX2 Go 2.2 kWh costs less but claims 35 km less range. Meanwhile, the TVS Orbiter V2 uses a similar fixed 3.1 kWh battery but claims 158 km, and adds cruise control. However, the Go 3.1 kWh counters with DC fast charging and access to Vida’s large public charging network, which the Orbiter lacks.
