Range and Charging
With 92 km of claimed range, the Go 2.2 kWh suits shorter daily routines. In real-world riding, expect roughly 65 to 70 km, depending on ride mode and load. As a result, a rider covering about 25 km a day can go two days between charges. Since the battery is removable, you can lift it out and charge it indoors. Moreover, it charges to 80% in about an hour on Vida’s public fast chargers.
Battery Subscription Option
Hero offers the Go 2.2 kWh with a battery subscription plan, where you buy the scooter and pay for the battery based on usage. At launch, this brought the upfront price down to Rs 59,490 in Delhi. As a result, it’s one of the cheapest ways to own a branded, highway-legal electric scooter. However, compare the monthly battery charges with the full price before deciding, especially if you ride a lot.
Hero Vida VX2 Go 2.2 kWh Features
The Go 2.2 kWh covers the essentials well. A 4.3-inch colour LCD offers Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts. Moreover, a two-way throttle handles reverse and adds extra regenerative braking. The Vida app brings geofencing, remote immobilisation and OTA updates. On the safety side, crash and fall alerts and a side-stand motor cut-off come standard.
How It Compares
For about Rs 21,000 more, the Hero Vida VX2 Go 3.4 kWh adds 54 km of claimed range, but drops boot space to 27.2 litres. Meanwhile, the TVS Orbiter V1 claims slightly less range but adds cruise control and Hill Hold. Therefore, the Go 2.2 kWh stands out for its removable battery and large boot, which few rivals at this price offer.
