Ather Energy is now proud to present the EL platform, which is the world’s first modular architecture designed to permit at least three different body styles for its forthcoming product line of electric scooters. This unique platform excels in flexibility and is also designed to provide a better range, higher security, and many advanced features; a new direction for future models of the brand.
EL Platform
With the EL platform, Ather has changed its strategic posture, moving towards a less static, more scalable manufacturing model. Three body versions of the electric scooter are meant to be released to cater to a wider range of customer preferences and market segments. This range should include:
- A traditional scooter design: Probably a slight derivation from their popular current offerings, but leaning more towards the emphasis of urban commuting.
- A more rugged or maxi-scooter style: This would provide even more comfort, storage, and highway performance.
- A unique, innovative third design: A hint toward an entirely new form factor or utility-focused electric two-wheeler.
Enhanced Range, Safety, and Advanced Features
The primary concept of the EL platform is to facilitate a greater range of future products from Ather. In this aspect, the design is intended to support the installation of larger battery packs or more efficient powertrain components in addressing one of the biggest concerns in the adoption of electric vehicles.
Greater Safety is another of the major pillars of the EL platform. While detail is not yet exhaustive, a dedicated platform allows provision for integrated structural safety elements along with superior weight distribution, from the basics and in-built advanced rider assistance systems (ARAS).
In addition, this platform will be able to integrate many advanced features. These may range from next-generation connectivity and more intelligent rider interfaces to innovative performance enhancements pushing the envelope of what electric scooters can offer. Ather Energy has paved the way through the EL platform for easy distribution to customers at the highest speeds possible without compromising on the features that have been made available.
