Mahindra XUV 3XO EV has been launched in India, giving customers a new electric option in the compact SUV segment. Priced from ₹13.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the XUV 3XO EV brings electric power to a familiar Mahindra nameplate and targets customers looking to shift to EVs without moving into higher price brackets. The deliveries are set to start from 23 February 2026.
The electric SUV is based on the petrol-powered XUV 3XO and keeps the same compact footprint. Mahindra says the model is aimed at everyday city and suburban use, where electric driving makes the most sense.
Price And Variants
The XUV 3XO EV is offered in two variants with prices starting at ₹13.89 lakh for the AX5 and going up to ₹14.96 lakh for the AX7L, ex-showroom. A 7.2 kW home charger is available as an optional add-on for ₹50,000. Mahindra says bookings are open and deliveries will start in the coming weeks.
Battery And Range
The XUV 3XO EV uses a 39.4 kWh battery with a front-mounted electric motor. Output is rated at 147 bhp and 310 Nm, set up for regular city and highway driving rather than outright performance.
Mahindra claims a real-world driving range of up to 285 km on a single charge. For charging, the SUV supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 0 to 80 per cent in around 50 minutes. Home charging is supported through the optional wall charger.
The electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in about 8.3 seconds. Power comes in smoothly, with quick response at low speeds, which suits city driving. The setup is tuned for easy, predictable use rather than sporty performance.
Design And Interior
In terms of design, the XUV 3XO EV looks very similar to the petrol version, with just a few EV-specific details. It gets LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, and alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Higher variants get a sunroof, adding to the sense of space inside the cabin.
Features And Safety
The feature list includes dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone connectivity, a 360-degree camera, and multiple drive modes. Most of the features are there to make everyday driving simpler and more comfortable, rather than adding extra layers of tech.
Safety equipment includes six airbags and electronic stability control, with driver-assist features available on the top variant. This gives the XUV 3XO EV a well-rounded safety setup for its segment.
Market Position
The XUV 3XO EV gives Mahindra another entry in the affordable electric SUV space. Sitting below the brand’s larger EVs, it is aimed at customers looking to make their first move to an electric vehicle. Its pricing, familiar styling, and feature list place it squarely in the compact EV segment, which is expected to see more competition over the coming year.
