Which Bajaj Chetak Variant Is Worth Buying In 2026?

  • Bajaj now offers 5 Chetak variants in India
  • The C3501 is the top-of-the-line variant packed with lot of modern features
  • In our opinion, the C3503 offers the best value for your money

Bajaj Auto’s Chetak range has quietly become one of the most popular electric scooters in the country. The Indian automotive giant recently launched the latest 2026 Bajaj Chetak in India with a bunch of upgrades, where the scooters got more range, features, and performance.

The list includes the Bajaj Chetak C2501, C3001, C3501, C3502, and C3503 variants, that have different feature lists, performance, and value propositions. But, now, with 5 variants on sale, the lineup has become a bit more confusing, and the buyers can easily get lost trying to understand what each variant actually offers. But we are here to break down the differences for you, and here are the latest prices of all variants and a detailed breakdown of each series:

Bajaj Chetak SeriesVariantPrice
Chetak 25 SeriesC2501Rs 91,504
Chetak 30 SeriesC3001Rs 1,05,006
Chetak 35 SeriesC3501Rs 1,39,305
C3502Rs 1,29,104
C3503Rs 1,15,605

*(all prices are effective ex-showroom Bengaluru)

Also, if you want a full breakdown of all the specs of the variants along with warranty and other additional information, click here to download the pdf.

Bajaj Chetak 25 Series – C2501

Starting with the entry-level Chetak C2501, this is the most affordable Chetak variant currently on sale in India. It is powered by a 2.5 kWh battery pack, which gives it a claimed range of 113 km per charge. It has a top speed of 60 kmph, a charging time of 2 hours 25 minutes (0-80%), and three riding modes. It is also equipped with all the necessary features like an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), bluetooth connectivity, and a front disc brake for safety. However, the only drawback is that it is small in size and might be uncomfortable for buyers with a broader frame. Also, the feature set is limited when compared to higher variants.

Bajaj Chetak C30 Series – C3001

The Bajaj Chetak C3001 sits just above the C2501, and feels like the first ‘proper’ and premium Chetak in the range. It gets a larger 3.0 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 137 km. This has much more usable performance and range than that of the C2501. Apart from this, the brand also offers a TecPac, where you get optional features for extra convenience and connectivity. In our opinion, this is a fairly equipped variant.

Bajaj 35 Series – C3503, C3502, C3501

The Chetak 35 Series has the most premium scooters in the lineup. These scooters have more storage for utility, improved comfort, and a bigger 3.5 kWh battery pack. While the battery pack is the same in the C35 series, the optimisation is different for the Bajaj Chetak C3503, and hence it returns a claimed range of 151 km, 2 km less than the other two variants. Also, the top speed is capped at just 63 kmph.

In the C35 series, the 3503 is the most affordable scooter and, in our opinion, the most value-for-money variant as well. The only drawback of the C3503 is the drum brake units, which feel centuries old and don’t inspire a lot of confidence to stop. But, apart from this, the C3503 is the sweet spot for many buyers, as it balances tech, range, performance, and utility well.

The Bajaj Chetak C3502 adds a TFT display, smartphone connectivity, Google Maps navigation support, and a front disc brake. Also, the top speed is boosted to 80 kmph here (and in the C3501 as well). This is perfect for someone who wants a good scooter with decent commuting performance, and utility, but without the tech-heavy experience.

The most premium of all the Chetaks is the C3501. It gets a touch-enabled TFT display, which has smartphone connectivity with Google Maps navigation support. It gets everything that bajaj has to offer, from keyless ignition to premium sequential indicators. Mechanically, the Bajaj Chetak C3501 feels quite similar to the C3502, but, with a touch of premiumness. Hence, in our Indian perception, the value quotient of the C3501 is a bit low.

Our Opinion

In our opinion, the buyer feedback around the Chetak has generally been positive, but there have been some mixed reviews as well. While most buyers appreciate the solid build quality, and the refined riding experience, others have reported concerns related to service quality and occasional software glitches.

So, in our opinion, the most sensible Bajaj Chetak to buy is the C3503. It gets decent performance for commutes, spacious storage, and good range without being excessively expensive. Other premium variants only make sense for people who want a tech-rich experience. And, if you are on a tight budget, the C2501 makes the most sense.
