Panoramic Skyroof and Premium Cabin
The AX7L replaces the AX5’s single-pane sunroof with a large panoramic skyroof. Inside, the cabin gets premium leatherette seats along with soft-touch leatherette on the dashboard and door trims. Also, a cooled glove box keeps drinks cool on long drives. In addition, an illuminated vanity mirror and auto-dimming IRVM add to the premium feel.
Level 2 ADAS and Parking Aids
Safety is where the AX7L stands out most. It’s the only 3XO EV variant with Level 2 ADAS, which assists the driver on highways and in traffic. For parking, a 360-degree camera, a blind view monitor and front parking sensors come included. Also, the AX7L keeps the standard six airbags, ESP and electronic parking brake with auto hold. Outside, LED front fog lamps improve visibility in poor weather.
Harman Kardon Sound System
The AX7L features a 7-speaker Harman Kardon system with an amplifier and subwoofer. It also supports Dolby Atmos for richer, more immersive sound. Combined with the twin 10.25-inch screens and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, it offers a strong infotainment package.
Battery, Range and Charging
The AX7L uses the same 39.4 kWh battery and 148 bhp front motor as the AX5. It reaches 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, with a claimed range of 351 km. Since this version comes without the wall box, home charging uses a regular socket, taking about 13 to 15 hours. Alternatively, a 50 kW DC fast charger takes it from 0 to 80% in about 50 minutes.
Without Charger or With Charger?
The AX7L with charger costs Rs 15.46 lakh, which is Rs 50,000 more. It includes the 7.2 kW wall box, which cuts a full charge to about 6.5 hours. So, if you have a fixed parking spot and drive daily, the charger version is more convenient. However, if you can use office or public charging, the version without the charger saves money.
