In recent years, electric scooters have gained immense traction in the Indian market, with reliable tech, innovative features, and the daily practicality they offer. But, if you are someone who loves swinging a leg over, instead of stepping through, we have got you covered.

We have listed down the top 5 electric bikes under ₹1.5 lakh in India, which you can buy today. It is even less than a top-end Apple iPhone.

But, before we dive into the list of electric bikes under ₹1.5 lakh, what defines a good electric bike in this budget? It’s the range on offer, performance, ease of charging, and, most importantly, the running cost. And these bikes tick all of these boxes.

      Revolt RV400 – Rs 1,39,950

      revolt-rv-400-electric-bikes-under-1.5-lakh

The Revolt RV400 was one of the first electric bikes to debut in India. With its proportionate design, and decent underpinnings, this is one of the most value-for-money electric bikes in its segment. It is available in five colour schemes with sporty graphics: Cosmic Black, Mist Grey, India Blue, Eclipse Red, and Dark Lunar Green.

For the price tag it carries, the bike comes with a 3.24kWh lithium-ion battery pack which has a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 150km in Eco Mode. This battery powers its mid-mounted electric motor that produces a peak power of 4.1kW and 180Nm of peak torque.

While the basics of the bike are quite sorted, the feature list is quite interesting. It gets an all-LED lighting setup, smartphone connectivity, and even four ride modes (Eco, Normal, Sports, and Reverse).

Also, if you want some audio feedback from the RV400 to make your riding experience a bit more engaging, it is equipped with speakers that play four different exhaust notes (app-controlled), paired with the throttle.

      Why Does It Stand Out?

      • Decent performance
      • Good service network

      Ola Roadster X+ 4.5kWh Variant – Rs 1,09,999

      ola-roadster-x+-electric-bikes-under-1.5-lakh

The Ola Roadster X+ is a futuristic-looking commuter motorcycle from the Bengaluru-based startup. It is available in five colour options: Industrial silver, Metallic Black, Stellar Blue, Pine Green, and Ceramic White.

It is powered by a 4.5kWh battery pack, which gives it an IDC range of 252km. Driven by an 11kW electric motor, it can reach a top speed of 125kmph. The bike gets an inverted fork and preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers for its suspension setup, and rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels. The braking setup consists of a front disc and a rear drum unit, with brake-by-wire tech.

The feature list includes an LED lighting setup, a 4.3-inch LCD console, and riding aids like cruise control, and regenerative braking, among others. One interesting fact about the Ola Roadster X+ is that it comes with a 3.27-litre boot, which carries its standard charger. It’s a good option for someone who is looking for electric bikes under ₹1.5 lakh in India.

      Why Does It Stand Out?

      • More than 250 km of range
      • 125 kmph top speed
      • Loaded with modern features

Oben Rorr EZ 4.4kWh Variant – Rs 1,29,999

      oben-rorr-electric-bike-india

The Oben Rorr EZ is one of the most gorgeous-looking bikes in this segment with its neo-retro styling. The circular LED headlamp is quite beautiful, and that, combined with the sporty tank extensions, gives it a proper sporty stance. Comes in four colour options: Electro Amber, Surge Cyan, Lumina Green, and Photon White.

It is powered by a 4.4 kWh LFP (Lithium Ferro Phosphate) battery, with a claimed IDC range of 175 km. It drives an electric motor that produces 7.5kW of peak power, and can reach a claimed top speed of 95 kmph.

The bike has a decent amount of features with LED lighting and an LCD console, along with a bunch of useful riding aids. These aids include a Driver Alert System (DAS) that gives the rider a clear indication of the bike’s ignition status via a notification light in the console and a Unified Braking Assist (UBA) that distributes the bike’s braking force on both wheels simultaneously, even if a single brake lever is pulled, essentially making your ride safer.

      Why Does It Stand Out?

      • Neo-retro styling
      • Good handling
      • Upright seating position

      Komaki Ranger – Rs 1,34,999

      komaki-ranger-ev-bike

If you want something for longer commutes, with a comfortable riding position, this is the bike you get. It has retro styling, with a triple-pod headlamp, which is gorgeous. It has a Harley-style raised handlebar, with forward-set footpegs and a tinted windscreen. To complement the bike’s design, it is finished in a beautiful ‘Jet Black’ shade.

To match its cruiser character, it has an equally impressive range of up to 240km from its 4.2kWh LFP battery pack. Its hub-mounted, 5kW BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motor can accelerate the Komaki Range to a claimed top speed of 80kmph.

This is one of the most feature-packed bikes in this list with a TFT display, on-board navigation, and even a Bluetooth sound system. The list also includes a reverse mode, a cruise control system (lets you maintain a specific cruising speed while on the highway without any throttle input), and an Auto-Repair switch to fix any glitches if there are any.

The 50-litre pannier boxes, the rear backrest, the front leg guard, and the rear taillamp guard ensure that your bike is practical as well as protected. It also gets an additional set of broader footpegs for more pillion comfort.

      Why Does It Stand Out?

      • More than 200km of range
      • Comfortable riding position
      • Loaded with protection and touring accessories

Odysse Evoqis Lite – Rs 1,18,000

      electric-bikes-under-1.5-lakh

The only entry-level electric supersport motorcycle on this list – the Odysse Evoqis Lite – is also the one with the most aggressive design. It has a sleek twin-pod headlamp, fairing-embedded indicators, and sporty graphics. It is available in two colours: Lime Green and Midnight Black.

Being a sports bike, it has a committed riding position with clip-on handlebars, rear-set footpegs, and an accommodating seat. Its 4.32kWh lithium-ion battery offers up to 140km of range, and it can reach a claimed top speed of 75kmph.

The Evoqis has a telescopic fork and a monoshock absorber for its suspension setup. Interestingly, it gets a dual-disc brake setup at the front, and a single disc at the rear, which could translate to a much sharper braking performance. The Evoqis’ alloy wheels also come wrapped in Ceat XoomRAD rubber, with a 110-section front and a 140-section rear tubeless tyres.

In terms of features, the Evoqis gets four riding modes (City Drive, Parking, Sports Drive, and Reverse), an anti-theft lock, a motor cut-off switch, and even keyless ignition.

      Why Does It Stand Out?

      • Supersport Design
      • Dual front disc brakes mean better braking performance

      Which One For Whom?

If you are looking for a reliable and safe purchase, you should go for the Revolt RV400 or the Oben Rorr EZ. If range and performance matter to you, the Ola Roadster X+ is the one you could pick. But if you are someone with unique taste and want better road presence from your bike, the Evoqis and the Ranger are perfect for you.

These were our list of electric bikes under ₹1.5 lakh in India you can buy today and are worth every penny. There is a bike for every rider today in India, and choosing the right one depends on what your requirements are and what you want out of it.

Which one would we buy? If we had to pick an electric bike for city riding — balancing range, performance, and looks, our pick would be the Ola Roadster X+, provided you have reliable charging infrastructure and service support in your city.
