Lifetime Warranty On Kia Carens Clavis EV
Kia has announced a lifetime warranty on the Kia Carens Clavis EV’s battery pack, which makes it the second model in the brand’s lineup to get this safety net, following the Kia Syros EV, which was launched a few months earlier. While the extended cover on the battery is available on new purchases, existing owners can buy it for a one-time fee of Rs 3,400.
But the catch here is that the lifetime warranty is only available for the first owner and unlimited kilometres. Here, the ‘lifetime’ in consideration is the period of the first registration of the EV in India, which is 15 years.
More Details About the Kia Carens Clavis EV:
The Kia Carens Clavis EV is the electric version of Kia’s popular three-row MPV, the Kia Carens. Its design is quite similar to its ICE counterpart but is differentiated by EV-specific styling elements, including a closed-off grille, aerodynamic wheels and revised bumpers. The cabin retains the spacious, practical layout expected from a family MPV, with multiple seating configurations and a major focus on comfort.
Power comes from an electric motor that puts out 100 kW when paired to the 42 kWh battery and 128 kW when paired to the 51.4 kWh unit. The claimed ranges from these battery packs are 404 km and 490 km, respectively.
The Carens Clavis EV is perfect for buyers who want the practicality of a three-row vehicle without the running costs and emissions associated with a conventional petrol or diesel MPV. It also gets a comprehensive suite of connected features, a large infotainment display, digital instrumentation and modern driver-assistance and safety technologies.

With its combination of generous space, everyday utility, and premium features, the Carens Clavis EV is quite a practical electric family vehicle. And now, with this extended warranty, the ownership experience will be quite hassle-free. Also, this move might help Kia India rack up some really good sales numbers in the upcoming months and compete with popular brands like Tata Electric (now Tata.ev), Mahindra Electric, Maruti Suzuki, MG Motors India, and even the Toyota.
