Electric motorcycle sales have remained relatively modest in mid-October 2026, with Oben Electric leading the segment, closely followed by Revolt Motors. Ultraviolette occupies the third spot, while Matter and Raptee have recorded considerably smaller sales numbers. The new Vahan data below represent partial-month Vahan registrations for five selected electric motorcycle manufacturers, rather than a strict top-five sales ranking.

Oben Maintains Its Lead Over Revolt
Oben Electric continues to lead India’s electric motorcycle market with 549 registrations in the October snapshot. However, Revolt Motors isn’t far behind, with 475 registrations and narrowing the gap to just 74 units.
Oben has been updating its lineup with motorcycles such as the Rorr Evo, while Revolt continues to target everyday commuters through the RV1 and RV400. Revolt also launched a new electric motorcycle for the younger audience, the Revolt RVX. The competition between these two brands could become particularly interesting as October progresses.
Ultraviolette Remains Third
Ultraviolette occupies the third position with 228 registrations. Unlike Oben and Revolt, Ultraviolette primarily targets the premium performance electric motorcycle segment. Its F77 Mach 2 and F77 SuperStreet offer a distinctly sportier proposition, while the Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover makes up for a very comfortable ADV-styled electric motorcycle. However, its registrations remain significantly below the two leading bikemakers.
Matter And Raptee Take Different Approaches
Matter Motor Works has recorded 42 registrations, while Raptee Energy has registered just two motorcycles so far in October. Both manufacturers stand out for their technology rather than their current sales volumes. The Matter Aera gets a four-speed manual gearbox, making it one of the more unusual electric motorcycles in India.
The Raptee T30, meanwhile, uses a 240V electrical architecture and supports CCS2 charging, allowing it to charge at compatible electric-car charging stations, which makes it very convenient.
Raptee’s low registration numbers suggest its presence in the market remains limited, but the T30 offers a different approach to electric motorcycle development.
Electric Motorcycles Still Have Plenty Of Room To Grow
India’s electric motorcycle segment remains considerably smaller than its electric scooter market. Oben, Revolt and Ultraviolette currently lead among dedicated electric motorcycle manufacturers, while brands such as Matter and Raptee differentiate themselves through technology and product positioning. With October still underway, the final registration numbers could change considerably. Also, due to ‘Dussehra’, we might see a significant increase in the sales numbers of these brands.
