The Mercedes CLA Electric explicitly showcases the three-pointed star as a prominent design attribution, further popularised with its new-age vehicles. In fact, the fascia hosts the Mercedes emblem, centrally on the closed grille section, with smaller 142 individual star patterns; they are placed as illuminated elements on the closed grille. These attributes do justify its premiuness.

At the rear, things begin to become a bit subtle but well contrasted, featuring connected LED lighting and, you guessed it right: it comes with elemental star integrations within the LED taillights. Nonetheless, the pronounced bumper section at the rear is the next interesting design attribute; it comes with a diffuser-like and spoiler lip, functionally helping with aerodynamic efficiency and less turbulence.

The interior features digital surfaces with improved haptics to enhance the overall user experience while offering luxury. Spanning across the entire width of the dashboard is the MBUX Superscreen, an optional package offered at a premium. It features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.0-inch central screen for cabin control, and a 14.0 passenger display (optional) for independent control. The seamless display as a single-piece unit provides a futuristic sense to this CLA sedan. However, the touch-sensitive steering controls are a gimmick; they are overly sensitive and can accidentally trigger volume or menu settings.

Also, the system ensures driver authorisation, meaning the CLA Electric gives drivers access to MBUX unit functionality and centrally controlled systems. Additionally, the vehicle assistance system-based information is shared on the primary cluster for better vehicle management. Apart from these, the CLA Electric comes with small but essential utility systems; it includes a wireless charging pad, which is a one-step solution to recharge smartphone batteries seamlessly.

To elevate the in-cabin mood, the Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric gets an ambient lighting system with multiple dynamic lighting colour options. The glass roof and illumination are two key features, having a practical purpose – these provide an airy cabin atmosphere, while the star pattern motifs elevate the in-cabin mood. The use of quality trims and panels ties up the cabin layout well.
