      Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Launch

After months of showcases and teaser appearances, Maruti Suzuki has officially revealed the complete pricing structure of its first all-electric SUV, the e-Vitara. The SUV was initially introduced at a starting price of ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, and dealerships have now shared full variant-wise pricing details. Here’s everything you need to know.

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Variant-Wise Pricing Breakdown

The e-Vitara is available in three trims — Delta, Zeta and Alpha — with two battery pack options.

      First, the Delta (49kWh)

      • ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) under BaaS
      • ₹15 lakh (ex-showroom) with battery included

However, updated dealership pricing (including battery) indicates: ₹15.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Delta 49kWh variant

      Second, the Zeta (61kWh)

      • ₹17.59 lakh (ex-showroom)
      • Offered only with the larger 61kWh battery

Dealership pricing (with battery included): ₹17.49 lakh (ex-showroom)

Third, the Alpha (61kWh – Top Variant)

      • ₹18.79 lakh (ex-showroom)
      • It comes equipped with Level-2 ADAS, Fixed glass sunroof, and a 9-speaker Infinity sound system.

Dealership pricing (with battery included): ₹19.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The dual-tone colour option is exclusive to the Alpha trim and costs an additional ₹21,000.

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Battery Options, Power & Claimed Range

The e-Vitara uses a compact 3-in-1 electric powertrain that integrates the motor, inverter and transmission into a single unit. Buyers can choose between two battery configurations: First, the 49kWh battery pack option that gets a peak power of 142–144 bhp, which produces 189 Nm of torque. The claimed range is up to 440 km on a single charge.

Next is the 61kWh battery pack option that comes with a peak power of 172–174 bhp and produces 189 Nm of torque. The claimed range is up to 543 km on a single charge.

Both battery packs feature Cell-to-Pack technology and are supported by an advanced thermal management system designed to function in extreme weather conditions ranging from -30°C to 60°C.

      Free Charging & Ownership Benefits

According to dealership sources, Maruti Suzuki will also introduce the “e for me” app, which will provide clients with a complimentary public charging of up to 1,000 kWh or one year, whichever comes first.

The app enables seamless access to the charging infrastructure across India, allowing users to locate and use supported charging stations conveniently. In addition to this, the users will also receive a 7.2 kWh wall box home charger, that values approximately Rs. 50,000, as part of the standard package.

      The Bigger Picture

The Maruthi e-Vitara will be a strong candidate in the India’s rapidly expanding EV market, starting at a price of ₹10.99 lakh (BaaS) and boasting a claimed range of over 540 km for the higher variant. The dual price structure, battery ownership, and subscription options give customers more freedom based on their budget and usage demands.

For Maruti Suzuki, this is a significant step into the EV market, and all eyes will now be on how the e-Vitara is going to compete with established and upcoming EVs in the category.
