Features You Get on the Base Model
The Delta feels far from basic. Inside, a 10.1-inch touchscreen sits next to a 10.25-inch digital display, and both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay work wirelessly. In addition, automatic climate control comes with rear AC vents. The rear seats also slide and recline, so passengers can adjust legroom. Outside, 18-inch alloys with aero covers give it a premium stance.
Safety Comes Standard
Maruti hasn’t cut corners on safety in the Delta. For example, it gets 7 airbags, ESP, hill hold and tyre pressure monitoring. Moreover, disc brakes on all four wheels and an electronic parking brake with auto hold come included. Front and rear parking sensors also help in tight spots. As a result, the base model shares the eVitara’s 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.
What the Delta Misses
To keep the price low, the Delta skips a few features. Most notably, it doesn’t get a reverse parking camera or a wireless phone charger, which start from the Zeta. It also misses the Alpha’s ventilated seats, glass roof, Infinity audio, 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS. Finally, it uses the smaller battery, so range and power sit below the other variants.
Is 440 km Enough?
For most city users, yes. In real-world driving, expect roughly 330 to 350 km per charge. That covers about a week of typical daily commuting. Moreover, the smaller battery charges faster at home, taking about 6.5 hours on a 7.4 kW charger. However, if you often drive between cities, the eVitara Zeta offers about 100 km more range.
Buying Outright vs BaaS
Under BaaS, the Delta costs Rs 10.99 lakh upfront, saving Rs 5 lakh. In return, you pay Rs 3.99 for every kilometre you drive. In simple terms, that rent adds up to the upfront saving after roughly 1.25 lakh km. Therefore, BaaS suits buyers who drive less, while daily commuters usually save more by buying outright.
