What the Alpha Adds Over the Zeta
| Area | Alpha upgrades |
|---|---|
| Comfort | Ventilated front seats, 10-way powered driver seat, fixed glass roof |
| Audio | Infinity by Harman sound system with subwoofer |
| Safety | 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS |
| Lighting | LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps |
All of this costs about Rs 2.2 lakh more than the Zeta. Given the long list of upgrades, the Alpha offers the strongest value in the eVitara range.
Comfort for Hot Indian Summers
Two features make the Alpha far more comfortable in Indian weather. First, ventilated front seats keep the driver and passenger cool on long drives. Second, the fixed glass roof brightens the cabin and makes it feel more spacious. In addition, the 10-way powered driver seat helps every driver find the right position easily. Combined with rear AC vents and sliding rear seats, the cabin works well for the whole family.
Level 2 ADAS and 360-Degree Camera
The Alpha is the only eVitara with Level 2 ADAS. For example, adaptive cruise control keeps a safe gap on highways, while lane keep assist helps you stay in your lane. Moreover, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert make lane changes and reversing safer. In tight parking spots, the 360-degree camera shows a clear view all around the car. Together with 7 airbags, these features back up the eVitara’s 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.
Range and Charging in Daily Use
With 543 km of claimed range, expect roughly 400 to 430 km in real-world driving. As a result, most families will need to charge only once a week. On a highway trip, a DC fast charger adds 10 to 80% in about 45 minutes. Plus, Maruti includes a complimentary home charger installation, so overnight charging stays simple.
Alpha or Alpha Dual Tone?
The Alpha Dual Tone costs just Rs 22,000 more and adds a contrasting Bluish Black roof. Otherwise, both share the same features, battery and range. So, choose the regular Alpha if you prefer single-tone shades like Nexa Blue or Grandeur Grey. -
Firm Ride: Can feel a bit too “jumpy” on bad city roads.
-
NVH Levels: Road and wind noise are more prominent than they should be.
