Seven-Seat Practicality
The Pack One Above keeps the full seven-seat layout of the XEV 9S. The third row suits children and average-sized adults on shorter trips. For luggage, there’s a 500-litre boot, which grows to about 527 litres with the third row folded. Also, a 150-litre frunk under the bonnet stores charging cables and small bags.
Safety and Driver Assistance
Even the entry trim gets Level 2 ADAS, using one radar and one camera. This supports features such as adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. In addition, ESP, disc brakes on all four wheels and ISOFIX mounts for child seats come included.
Range and Charging on the 59 kWh Battery
The 59 kWh battery offers a claimed range of 521 km. On a 140 kW DC fast charger, it goes from 20 to 80% in about 20 minutes. At home, Mahindra offers 7.2 kW and 11.2 kW wall boxes, so overnight charging covers daily needs. The battery also carries a lifetime warranty for the first private owner.
Software and Convenience
The Pack One Above receives over-the-air (OTA) updates for infotainment, maps and the electric powertrain. As a result, the car can gain improvements without a service centre visit. Also, a one-touch up/down driver window and single-pedal driving add everyday convenience.
Features Added in Higher Variants
Some features start from the Pack Two Above. These include a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, a 6-way powered driver seat and the 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Should You Upgrade to the 79 kWh Version?
The Pack One Above 79 costs Rs 2 lakh more. In return, it adds 158 km of claimed range, 54 bhp of extra power and faster 180 kW charging. Since both versions stay below Rs 25 lakh, Karnataka buyers pay only 5% registration either way.
