Battery and Motor
The 3XO EV shares its powertrain with the earlier XUV400. A 39.4 kWh battery feeds a permanent magnet synchronous motor that drives the front wheels. With 310 Nm available instantly, it feels quick in city traffic. Also, drivers can choose between three drive modes: Fun, Fast and Fearless. In addition, regenerative braking offers four levels (L0 to L3) plus an Auto setting, along with single-pedal driving.
Range: Claimed vs Real-World
On the MIDC test cycle, the 3XO EV is rated at 351 km per charge. However, Mahindra itself quotes a more practical figure of up to 285 km in real-world driving. Mahindra positions the 3XO EV mainly for urban and intra-city use. So, it suits daily commutes better than frequent long highway trips.

The 3XO EV measures just under 4 metres in length, which makes it easy to park in crowded cities. Despite its compact size, the 2,600 mm wheelbase frees up good rear-seat space.
Suspension, Wheels and Brakes
The 3XO EV uses a MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam at the rear. Also, it gets disc brakes on all four wheels, which is a plus at this price. Depending on the variant, it rides on 16-inch or 17-inch alloy wheels. A 135/90 R16 space-saver spare comes included.
Warranty
