With up to 606 km of claimed range, the 4S handles a one-way Bengaluru to Chennai trip of about 350 km comfortably. On a 270 kW charger, a 10-minute stop adds about 247 km of range. At home, an 11 kW charger refills the battery overnight.
What the 4S Adds Over the Base Model
Compared with the rear-wheel-drive Macan Electric, the 4S adds a front motor for all-wheel drive. That lifts output by over 150 bhp and cuts the 0 to 100 km/h time from 5.7 to 4.1 seconds. It also gets PASM adaptive dampers as standard, for a better balance of comfort and control. Meanwhile, range drops only slightly, from 641 km to 606 km.
Porsche Macan 4S Electric Features
Inside, a curved 12.6-inch digital cluster and a 10.9-inch touchscreen run Porsche’s Android-based system, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The front seats are heated and electrically adjustable. Outside, four-point LED DRLs, a full-width 3D light bar and Porsche Active Aerodynamics come standard. For safety, it gets a front centre airbag, emergency braking, Lane Keeping Assist and Exit Warning.
What the 4S Misses
Several features that come standard on the Turbo cost extra on the 4S. These include adaptive air suspension, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, Matrix LED headlights and Bose sound. Likewise, rear-axle steering and the AR head-up display are optional. Therefore, check the final price carefully when you configure your car.
