At just under 4 metres, the Syros EV is easy to park in crowded cities. Even so, its tall, boxy shape and 2,550 mm wheelbase free up generous cabin space. In addition, a 390-litre boot and a small 16-litre frunk offer useful storage. Its 190 mm ground clearance also handles broken roads and speed breakers well.
Kia Syros EV Battery and Range Specifications
The 42 kWh battery claims 443 km, while the 51.4 kWh Extended Range battery claims 526 km. Notably, these are the same batteries used in the Hyundai Creta Electric. However, since the Syros EV is smaller and lighter, it claims more range from each pack. In real-world driving, expect roughly 340 to 370 km from the 42 kWh version and 410 to 440 km from the ER.
Motor and Performance
The Extended Range version uses a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 169 bhp and 255 Nm. That’s enough for a 0 to 100 km/h time of about 8.1 seconds. Drivers get Eco, Normal and Sport modes, plus three regen levels and an i-Pedal one-pedal driving mode via paddle shifters.

For daily use, an 11 kW wall box fully charges the Syros EV overnight. However, the wall box is sold separately, so budget for it when buying.
Suspension, Tyres and Brakes
The Syros EV uses MacPherson strut front suspension and a coupled torsion beam rear setup. Depending on the version, it rides on 215/60 R16 or 215/55 R17 low rolling resistance tyres. In addition, disc brakes come on all four wheels.
Warranty and Ownership
Kia offers a 15-year, unlimited km battery warranty for the first owner and a 3-year, unlimited km vehicle warranty.
