Feature Levels
Globally, Hyundai sells the Inster in several trims, including a rugged-looking Inster Cross. Core features like the twin 10.25-inch screens, ADAS and sliding rear seats come widely. However, extras like the sunroof, heated seats, 360-degree camera and 17-inch wheels are reserved for higher versions. Hyundai hasn’t confirmed the India-spec feature split yet.
Hyundai Inster EV Exterior Features
The Inster has a boxy, SUV-inspired design with pixel-style LED tail lamps and LED daytime running lights. Higher versions add full projection LED headlamps, 17-inch alloys and an electric glass sunroof. In addition, power-folding ORVMs and chunky wheel-arch cladding give it a rugged look. The Inster Cross also adds roof rails and a skid plate.
Interior and Comfort Features
Thanks to its flat EV floor, the Inster’s cabin is unusually flexible. The rear seats slide by up to 16 cm and recline, while both front and rear seats can fold flat. As a result, the boot can grow from 238 litres to over 1,000 litres. Higher versions also add heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and 64-colour ambient lighting, along with climate control on all versions.
Hyundai Inster EV Infotainment Features
The Inster gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Alongside it, a 10.25-inch digital cluster offers customisable layouts. In addition, Bluelink connected car tech lets you check charging status and pre-cool the cabin remotely. Higher versions add a wireless charger and Hyundai Digital Key.
Convenience Features
Every Inster gets a smart key, push-button start, an electric parking brake and auto hold. In addition, i-Pedal one-pedal driving and paddle-adjustable regen make city driving easier. Meanwhile, V2L lets you power devices like a laptop or kettle from the battery, with an inside 220V socket on higher versions.
Hyundai Inster EV Safety and ADAS Features
Globally, the Inster offers up to 7 airbags, including a front centre airbag. It also gets ESC, TPMS, hill-start assist and ISOFIX mounts. Its ADAS suite includes forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, smart cruise control with stop and go and Highway Driving Assist 1.5. Higher versions add a 360-degree camera, blind-spot view monitor and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist.
Before You Buy the Inster EV
Keep a few points in mind. First, features like heated seats and the heated steering wheel come from European models and may not reach India.
