Honda has unveiled a new family-focused electric scooter in India, called the Honda QC3. It is the third product in Honda India’s electric lineup after the Honda QC1 and the Honda Activa:e. Both of these scooters failed miserably at capturing the buyers’ interest due to the lacking specifications, and limited range.
But, with the new QC3, it looks like Honda has addressed all of these concerns. It gets a practical floorboard, decent underseat storage, a spacious seat, and even a modern display. All of these features should make it competent to take on other electric scooters in the Indian market.

The new Honda QC3 is powered by a 3 kWh battery pack, which has a claimed range of around 145 km, which is a substantial improvement when compared to the QC1’s 80 km range. Honda also claims that the battery can be charged from 0-80% in just 2 hours and 40 minutes, which adds to the convenience.

Honda QC3 Storage And Practicality
Rather than focusing on outright performance, the Honda QC3 prioritises everyday convenience. The scooter comes with 32 litres of under-seat storage, which is more than enough room for daily essentials. Honda has also equipped it with a Smart Key, which allows the rider to unlock and start the scooter without using a conventional key.

What We Think
We think Honda has finally come to its senses and has decided to rectify all that went wrong with the first two scooters. The claimed range of the Honda QC3 is now quite decent (and consistent with other segment scooters), and in real-world usage, we could get around 120 km of range. The charging time is also one of the important highlights, which adds to the QC3’s convenience.
The 3 kWh battery, 145 km claimed IDC-certified range, 32-litre under-seat storage, Smart Key, and a TFT display with connected features. If launched in India, the QC3 could appeal to buyers who are searching for a reliable, family-orientated electric scooter with a strong practicality quotient.
