Exterior Design

The eC3X keeps the eC3’s SUV-inspired look but adds sharper details. Up front, LED projector headlamps sit alongside signature LED DRLs and fog lamps. Moreover, front and rear skid plates, body cladding and glossy black roof rails give it a rugged stance. It rides on 15-inch diamond-cut alloys, while new ‘X’ badging sets it apart from the older model. Electrically adjustable, auto-folding mirrors also come standard.

Cabin and Comfort

Inside, the eC3X gets a fresh Electric Blu theme with leatherette seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Satin chrome accents lift the cabin’s feel. The rear seats also fold completely flat, which helps when carrying larger items. However, the eC3X misses features like a sunroof and ventilated seats, which some rivals offer.

Citroen eC3X Infotainment and Tech

A 10.25-inch touchscreen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you don’t need cables. Behind the wheel, a 7-inch colour digital display shows key driving information. Furthermore, a JBL sound system improves audio over the old eC3. Citroen’s connected car tech also offers over 40 remote features through the app, such as checking charge status.

Convenience Features

A new E-Toggle gear selector replaces the old knob, freeing up space on the centre console. Among the Citroen eC3X features, the wireless phone charger and auto-dimming inside mirror are welcome additions at this price. In addition, a rear-view camera makes parking easier, and all four windows get one-touch auto down. Meanwhile, the auto-folding mirrors tuck in when you lock the car, which helps in tight parking spots.

Citroen eC3X Safety Features

Safety gets a big upgrade on the eC3X. It now comes with six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Moreover, a camera-based Predictive Safety Suite adds lane departure warning, front vehicle distance alert and pedestrian and cyclist warnings. These systems warn the driver but don’t steer or brake on their own. A speed-sensitive auto door lock and seatbelt reminders for all seats also come standard.

Before You Buy

The eC3X offers good value, but it misses a few features. There’s no sunroof, 360-degree camera or full ADAS with automatic braking, and a tyre repair kit replaces a spare wheel. The Tata Punch EV adds a sunroof at a similar price, while the VinFast VF5 offers a simpler feature list for less money.
