Cayenne Electric Range and Charging Time
| Charger | Charging time |
|---|---|
| DC fast charger, up to 390 kW (10 to 80%) | About 16 minutes |
| 11 kW AC (0 to 100%) | About 11 hours |
With up to 642 km of claimed range, the base Cayenne Electric goes further than any other electric Porsche SUV in India. For example, a Bengaluru to Goa trip of about 560 km may need just one short top-up in real-world driving. On the fastest chargers, that stop takes as little as 16 minutes. At home, an 11 kW charger refills the battery overnight.
Smart All-Wheel Drive
The base Cayenne Electric uses two motors, with a rear-biased all-wheel-drive setup. Cleverly, the front motor disengages during light cruising to save energy, then reconnects instantly when you need grip or power. As a result, you get the efficiency of rear-wheel drive with the confidence of all-wheel drive. That suits Indian monsoons and hill roads well.
Porsche Cayenne Electric Base Variant Features
Despite being the base model, this Cayenne Electric comes well equipped. It gets adaptive air suspension with PASM, Matrix LED headlights and the curved OLED Porsche Flow Display. Rear passengers also get electrically adjustable seats. In addition, a surround-view camera, automatic parking and adaptive cruise control come standard. The Porsche Digital Key lets owners unlock the car with a phone or smartwatch.
What the Base Variant Misses
Compared with the Turbo, the base model skips HD-Matrix LED headlights and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus. It also misses rear-axle steering, the Sport Chrono package and the panoramic roof with Variable Light Control. Likewise, Porsche Electric Sport Sound costs extra. Most of these are available as options, but they add up quickly.
