Variants and Feature Levels
The Atto 3 comes in three variants: Dynamic, Premium and Superior. Notably, even the base Dynamic gets the panoramic sunroof, rotating screen and 360-degree camera. The Premium then adds a powered tailgate, ambient lighting and a PM2.5 filter. Finally, the Superior adds ADAS, ventilated seats and premium audio.
BYD Atto 3 Exterior Features
The Atto 3 has a sporty design with crystal LED headlamps and a full-width LED tail light strip. In addition, a distinctive ripple-style D-pillar, roof rails and a panoramic sunroof with electric slide come standard. Moreover, heated, electrically adjustable and folding ORVMs are offered across the range. The Superior also gets adaptive front lights and larger 18-inch wheels.
Interior and Comfort Features
Inside, the Atto 3 has a fun, gym and music-inspired cabin with dumbbell-style AC vents and guitar-string door pockets. It gets synthetic leather seats, a 6-way powered driver seat and 60:40 split rear seats. In addition, automatic climate control with a heat pump keeps the cabin comfortable. The Superior adds ventilated front seats and a 4-way powered passenger seat, while the Premium and Superior get multi-colour ambient lighting.
BYD Atto 3 Infotainment Features
The highlight is a 12.8-inch touchscreen that rotates between landscape and portrait modes. It supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with an English voice assistant. Meanwhile, a compact 5-inch digital driver display shows key information. The Superior upgrades the audio to an 8-speaker Dirac HD system, while lower variants get 6 speakers.
Convenience Features
Every Atto 3 gets keyless entry and start, an NFC card key and a wireless phone charger. In addition, V2L lets you power devices like a laptop or kettle from the car’s battery. Moreover, one-touch power windows with anti-pinch come standard. The Premium and Superior also add a one-touch powered tailgate and a PM2.5 air filter.
BYD Atto 3 Safety and ADAS Features
The Atto 3 offers up to 7 airbags, along with ESC, traction control, TPMS and hill descent control. Every version also gets a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors and ISOFIX mounts. The top Superior adds Level 2 ADAS, including adaptive cruise control with stop and go, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist and blind spot detection. It also gets a driver far-side airbag.
Before You Buy the Atto 3
Keep a few points in mind. First, ADAS and ventilated seats come only on the top Superior. Second, the 5-inch driver display is small compared with rivals.
