Although the internal combustion engine scooters like Honda Activa are ruling the total sales, the latest dispatch numbers from SIAM reveal a marked change in consumer behavior towards electric models. There are three models of electric scooters, namely, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Ather Rizta, which have made it to the list of top 10 selling scooters in the country, competing against other traditional ICE players for the same market space. Here is a look at the three bestselling electric two wheelers of May 2026.
1. TVS iQube
TVS Motors has been working very actively in improving its position in the EV two wheeler space, with the iQube dominating the category and becoming the fourth in overall ranking across all types of scooters sold in India. The design of the scooter, highly dependable service network, as well as several battery options, has struck a chord with family-oriented buyers who want to buy their first electric scooter.

The Ather Rizta has turned out to be the third most popular electric two-wheeler sold in India. It has the biggest underseat storage space along with ample seat space for the Indian family, making it the fastest-growing scooter among the top ten.
