Walk into a Tata showroom this month, and you will notice heavy price realignments across the electric floor. The older stock in the Tata EV stable is especially getting the biggest cut. The non-X and Creative trims of the Curvv and the top-end variants of the Harrier are being pushed hardest. Meanwhile, the Tata Nexon EV, the model that’s actually been carrying Tata’s EV sales for years, barely gets any benefit.

Tata Curvv
Curvv EV currently leads the discount charts. Buyers opting for the standard non X trims can now slash up to Rs 3.35 lakh off the sticker price. This figure combines a flat cash reduction of Rs 3 lakh with Rs 35,000 in scrappage incentives. Those settling for the Creative trim still secure impressive benefits up to Rs 2.85 lakh. The X variants miss out on direct consumer cash offers. However, buyers can still extract up to Rs 65,000 through exchange and loyalty bonuses.

Tata Harrier EV
The flagship SUV commands equally significant price cuts this month. Upgrading from an older Tata electric car unlocks a Rs 1 lakh loyalty bonus for Harrier EV buyers. Combine this with the exclusive Freedom Offer and standard scrappage schemes, and the Fearless Plus or Empowered trims yield total savings of Rs 2.75 lakh. The Adventure variant sits slightly lower. It offers a total combined discount of Rs 2.50 lakh.

Tata Tiago and Punch EV
Urban mobility relies heavily on compact dimensions. The Punch EV and Tiago EV fit this brief perfectly. The Punch EV Long Range variant currently carries up to Rs 1.45 lakh in total savings. Its Medium Range counterpart softens the blow, with benefits reaching Rs 1.25 lakh. The older Tiago EV Long Range XT mirrors the Punch. It provides Rs 1.45 lakh in maximum discounts to clear out earlier production cycles.

Tata Nexon EV
Interestingly, the remarkably popular Nexon EV barely moves the needle. It registers the lowest incentives this month, with total savings capped at a modest Rs 45,000, including Rs 10,000 worth of cash discount and rest exchange and scrappage benefits.
Conclusion: What this pattern of discounting could mean
Tata still leads India’s EV market by volume and by a fair margin. It sold close to 13,630 electric vehicles in July itself, more than any other manufacturer in the country. But the share of the market it holds has come down sharply (around 42% as of July sales), largely because rivals like Mahindra have grown faster off a smaller base, not because Tata’s own numbers shrank.
Against that backdrop, discounting the older Curvv EV trims most heavily starts to make more sense. The Curvv EV has been on sale for close to two years now, and Tata has reportedly been working through updates to the range, which often means dealers are sitting on older spec inventory that needs to move before anything new arrives.
For someone actually in the market this August, the Curvv EV and Harrier EV clearly offer the most room to negotiate, provided the trim you want happens to be one carrying the higher benefit. Punch and Tiago buyers get a reasonably solid Rs 1.45 lakh ceiling if they pick the right variant.
